A flat surrounded with clouds. From down the apartment you can see cars like ants and as for people, they were impossible to see. Inside the flat a woman with torn feelings entered, her face had rage written.
"Miss.Butcher, what happened to you?" Said a middle aged woman who had worn a maid outfit.
"Sakura! Do I look so bad?!" The (h/c) grabbed the maids shoulders tightly and asked.
"Ms.Butcher what type of question is that? Of course you're the most prettiest woman I've ever seen." The woman said with wide eyes.
"Then why?! Why didn't he turned up on our dinner date?!" Amanda yelled at her.
The woman named Sakura clutched her eyes and said, "I'm sure there was a meeting."
"He had a meeting during lunch time!"
"Maybe he got tangled with some business that's why he could not come. You know how does this businesses work. You've seen your father, right?"
Sakura tells her as Amanda starts to cool down.
"You're right I'm overreacting. I should sleep now and meet him tomorrow."
"Go and sleep dear."
Present day
(Y/N) had found the place through GPS and was waiting for Vincent to come. Just then she remembered that she needs to fetch him or else he will probably be late. She took the elevator up and knocked on Vincent's cabin. "Mr. Douglas your car is ready for departure." Just then she felt tapping on her back she turned and saw that it was the lady on the reception. Ms. Lola.
"Ms. Surren, Mr. Douglas just went downstairs. You'll probably are late. You should go down"
A troubled expression came upon the girl's face and she went rushing in then elevator.
"Mr. Douglas I'm very sorry you got late because of me."
"Ms. Surren, I hope you know that I don't like being late especially when I'm going for my business. I hope that you keep that mind."
"Yes-s Mr. Douglas"
They got inside the car and she drove off to countryside.
"You are not feeling good?" Vincent asked (Y/N) as he saw that she was fighting to keep her eyes open.
"Yes I'm okay, it's just that I never drove a car for three hours straight. It gets pretty boring." She said and smiled awkwardly.
"If you want I can come in front and drive. Moreover it's my fault that you had to drive the car for me."
"It's totally okay we are just five minutes away from the address."
"Still it's pretty disturbing to not still have a driver after the previous one got fired. Do you think it will cause damage to my reputation?" The man asked and stared at the girl through the mirror.
"Not at all! I'm your secretary now and I'll do anything to save your reputation cause that's what my job is right?"
"Yes, It is.."
As they reached their destination an eerie feeling caught up to her spine. The atmosphere around was very sad. There was no sign of the sun it was cloudy with cool breezes.
"Isn't the place very beautiful?" Vincent smiles and asks her.
"I guess so, it's very lonely." The girl said as she looks around. "The landlord must be waiting for you, we should go inside."
"You're right we have plenty of time after we have a nice talk with him." He tells and walks towards the cottage with the girl behind her.
"Good morning Mr.Arnold Douglas it's such a surprise to see you today at the office."
"Good morning Lola, I expect a visit from some special people today. Is Vincent at his room?"
"No he just left for a meeting in the countryside."
"Tha-! I want you to open the special meeting room."
"Okay Mr. Douglas."
"Ahh, Vincent Douglas, finally. I hope you didn't have any trouble coming to our house."
"No not at all, why would I have trouble to get to my own land."
The landlord growled at the sass of Vincent. He brought his eyes towards (Y/N) and said, "What a pretty lady. Why don't you join with my son at the kitchen while I have a talk with-"
"My secretary would be with me, it's important for her to note down everything that happens in this meeting."
"Okay then."
All of them got comfortable at the living room. The house was very sickening. It was very dark, the light on the living room could barely make the room bright.
"Vincent Douglas after a lot of thinking that if we should give you the land or not. We decided to not sell it.-"
"Are you kidding me?! I already paid you for the land and now you're telling me that you will not move?"
"I'm really sorry but that's not my decision. It's my wife's she doesn't want to leave her beautiful garden move to the city of dust and grey."
"Do I look like I care?" Vincent said with annoyance in his voice.
"I'm sorry but it's serious. We will pay you the money by this month. You see my wife has cancer it would be very cruel to her if we didn't fulfill her last wish."
"By this month?! I want my money by this day! If that's what your wife wanted then why did you tried to sell it to me?!"
"It's impossible for us to pay you by today. We need at least a week time."
"How about a deal?! As soon as your wife dies you move out and give me the land?"
"What?! No I'm sorry but I can't this is where my wife wants to stay and I can't give that up!"
"So you're not giving the land?"
"That's what I just said!"
Vincent grabbed the collar of the old man and spoke, "Lower your voice you filthy mud! You have to return my money by tomorrow or else you will find your life in such position that you'll be regretting ever playing with my money." He left his collar and wiped his hand on the tissue and threw it on the man's face.
(Y/N) was stunned to see Vincent's face. It was terrifying. Just then Vincent grabbed her hand and pulled her outside of the cottage. His grip on her hand was really tight which will surely be marked.
"You don't need to drive for now." Vincent said and pushed her roughly down the passenger seat. He walked around and got in the car and started driving in a high speed.
