"wake up, lexie wake up" the younger twin nudged her sister softly. "hey lex, wakey wakey"

"wake the fuck up lexie!" katie yelled causing a laugh from alice and a stir from lexie.

"what- what's happened?!" the tired girl shot up, rubbing her face and looking at her best friends.

"we going out" alice smiled, her eyes were filled with excitement making her sisters stomach turn it curiosity.

"where? guys it's 4am for gods sake" lexie groaned and threw herself backwards onto the bed again.

"just get up and dress nice" katie rolled her eyes at her best friend with a smile tugging at her lips.

"ugh i hate you both" lexie gave in and threw the covers off of her, rolling herself out of the bed.

after a hour, the three were jumping into alices car. they buckled their seat belts as katie gushed. the sister shot their gaze to the back seats where the girl was siting.

"i forgot" katie said with her brown wide eyes.

lexie's vision was covered making her breath latch with shock. her girls giggled at her reaction before reassuring her it's a surprise. lexie relaxed further into the seat as a sign of relief escaped her lips.

"be prepared, it's a long drive" alice smirked at her blindfolded sister in the seat besides and watched as she frowned behind the cloth.

the sun was rising as alice pulled up at the destination. lexie hesitantly let the girls guide her on her feet. as they did so, lexie continued to ask question after question which didn't get a answer.

"now reveal" the girls smiled at each other as lexie cautiously slipped off the cloth from her eyes.

"the airport?" was the first thing that slipped out her lips. "why?"

"just wait" katie smiled at the girl.

they waited 15 minutes until groups of people started to come from all directions. they sat up and pulled lexie towards the barrier where people wait for their loved ones.

lexie was standing at the barrier with mixed emotions. curiosity and confusion but excited and adrenaline.

"happy birthday day two!" the pair yelled making lexie turn to face them with a confused frown upon her lips.

"princess" a voice said, the girl turned back around to see a beautiful face with messy flat brown hair and crystal blue eyes.

lexie smacked her hands over her mouth as her heart stopped for a moment. the sensation of tears streamed down her face, she was a happy mess.

in a flash, she ducked under the barrier and sprinted towards joe. lexie's body crashed onto joe's, fitting like a puzzle.

"joey" she breathed into his shoulder letting her lips form the biggest smile.

joes heart bursted at the sound of the american girl saying his nickname. he didn't reply to her, instead he held her closer to him and smiled like a goof into her neck.

"you remember when you asked if we'd be always strangers?" joe mumbled into lexie's hair and felt her nod viciously on his shoulder. "i guess the real answer to that is no"
