Chapter 6

I had just witnessrd Ray being slapped by Sheryl. "HEY! NO CHILD DESERVES TO BE HURT BY ANYONE! HE IS JUST AN INCIDENT LITTLE BOY! HE ALSO TOLD ME HE DEEPLY HATES YOU!" I said furiously."WELL FRANKLY HE'S MY CHILD!" Sherly said. "Come on Ray let's go home." Sheryl said. "Nuh uh Ray let's go to my place."I said. "He's my son." "Well If he's YOUR son why don't you bathe him?" Then we got into a huge argument that lasted for like ten minutes. Then I suggested that we let Ray decide who he's going home with. "Ray you know you want to come home with me." Sheryl said. "Just take your time buddy" I said. Ray was thinking for a little bit than he said "I want to go with Mikey.". "Come on buddy lets go." I said. "Woah, Woah wait let's have a recount." Sheryl said."Too late for that sister!" I said chuckling. Then she angrly walked away stomping her feet like a little girl. But than she did something I did not expect. She came back and rubbed the burning hot ciggerate on Ray's face. "OUUUUCH. HOT HOT HOT HOT!" He yelled out. By the time I was going to chew out Sheryl she was already gone. Meanwhile Ray had his face in my shirt. I picked him up and I said "Aww its ok let me see." He lifted up his face and there were blisters on his cheeks. He was still sniffling. "Dont worry when we get home I will put a cold wet sponge on those marks, ok?" He nodded his head yes.

After I put the sponges on his face he felt better. It was 12:00 pm and it was about lunch time.  "Ray what do you want to eat sweety?" "Umm I always wanted to have Macawonie and Cheese." Aww he's so adorable when he says macaroni. "Macaroni it is."I said.After we had our lunch I asked "what do you want to do now?" "Can we go play outside." he asked.  "Sure want to go in the pool?" I asked. "Ya! But I don't know how to swim". Ray said excidently. "Dont worry ill be with you." I said giving him a warm smile.

"I don't wanna go anymore." Ray said looking down into the pool. "Don't worry ill catch you." He shook is head no. "How about if you jump in I will give you ten oreo cookies for dessert." And without thinking he just jumped into the pool. "You see its not that bad." I said. "I guess but it is cold." After about an hour and a half we decided to go back inside. "That was fun!" Ray said. "Mmhmm just like how I beat you at a water fight." Than he gave me those evil eyes. "Hey I got an idea? Want to watch Peter Pan?" I said.  "Who's Peter Pan?"Ray asked. I explained Peter Pan to him and he liked the idea. After half an hour into the movie I saw Ray sleeping in my lap. "Must be nap time." I whispered to myself.  I brought him to my bed then said "Love you buddy."
