Finding True Love

Clary's POV

Can I just say, love is confusing. I'm outside walking hand in hand with my boyfriend, Jace, but I'm thinking of Alec. Alec freaking Lightwood. We can't stand each other, but right now he us the only thing on my mind.

Jace seems to notice something on my mind because he ask, "Is everything okay?"

"Ya I just have a lot on my mind." I replied lying because something was wrong. I'm thinking of Alec.

Two days ago Jace was away in Idris for a meeting with the Clave. Izzy was out with Simon so it left Alec and me alone to train. After we finished training we grabbed a bit to eat, making sure it wasn't Izzy's cooking.

"You miss Jace?" Alec asked breaking the silence.

"To be honest not really," I reply then look up at a confused Alec. "It's just Jace keeps pushing me to do something I'm not ready for and when I get him to stop he gets really mad and starts yelling."

"I'm sorry," Alec says, "he better not be trying to make you have sex!"

Why would he care if I had sex with Jace? Does he like me? No get that out of your head. Alec Lightwood doesn't like you. Should I tell him though? "Yes, he is."

"I'm going to kill him!" said Alec.

What?! Did Alec just say that? Did he really just say he was going to kill Jace for trying to get me to have sex when I wasn't ready to?

"What?" I finally said.

"I said 'I'm going to kill Jace!" The he stands up and walks out of the kitchen. I get up to follow him and see him walking into his room. I decided to go talk to him to calm him down so he doesn't try to kill anyone.

I knocked on the door and heard Alec coming towards it. When he opens the door his expression changes but I can't tell what it was before I was pulled into the room then pressed against the door.

"Alec," was all I got out before his lips crushed mine. Alec Lightwood. I'm kissing Alec Lightwood and I don't want to stop, but the it hits me I'm cheating on Jace.

I pushed Alec away looking into his midnight blue eyes. I wanted to kiss him again but I ran out the room and into mine locking the door.

"Are you sure everything okay?" Jace asked once again.

"Yes,"I lied.

"Okay."

Time Lapse

Later that night I was in Jace's room watching a movie we all of a sudden Jace pulls me onto his lap and started kissing me. The kiss turned into making out and I wanted it to stop but he was to strong. When Jace finally moved his lips to my neck and when he did I yelled, "Stop! Get off me!" Still trying to get Jace to let go when his door flies open reviling Alec.

He rushed over and pulled Jace off me. "What the hell!" Jace said once he was up.

"I heard her yelling for you to stop! Do you not realize she isn't ready? Do you even realize every time you try to make her have sex your scaring her?" Alec yelled at Jace. I could not take it anymore, I ran out the room running no where in particular.

Once I finally stop running I realize I'm in the garden. I set down on the bench and start to breathe slowly to lower my heart rate. Why did Jace have to be like that? I've told him I wasn't ready to have sex?

"Are you okay?" I look up to see Alec walking towards me with a black eye.

"What happened to your eye? Did Jace hit you?" I ask not caring what just happened.
