Hermionie
The past year, Harry, Ron, Ginny, and I have grown inserperable. We do almost everything together.
Life at the Burrow became too crowded, so we moved in with Harry and Ginny at Grimuald Place.
Even though Keracher may have warmed up to Harry, he could still be found sulking and muttering things like "filthy Mudbloods," "blood-traitors," and apologies to his Mistress for allowing scum like us through the dorrway of the Black household.
Ron and I aren't very physical in our realtionship yet, just breif kisses and holding hands as we walk. Harry and Ginny,on the other hand, are constantly snogging, and often run from the room to their bedroom upstairs.
My parents.....well, they don't know I exist. I saw how peaceful they were in Australia, and I didn't want to upset them with the fact that they had completely forgotten their only daughter.
I sat reading the latest issue of the Daily Prophet, when my attention was drawn to a shadow at the window. I instinctively grabbed my wand before I realized that it was just an owl. No, it was three owls!
I quickly swung open the window and ushered in the three screech owls. They took flight as soon as I had removed the letters.
One on the owls had two letters, one for Ron and one for Ginny. The other two letters were for me and Harry. I called the three down to the kitchten.
"What's wrong 'Mionie?" Ron called from the top of the stairs.
"Letters for all of us." I responded.
We all took our letters and stared down at the Hogwarts seal.
Dear Miss Granger,
We are pleased to inform you that due to complications this previous year, You have been accepted to attend an additonal year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Your school list has been included as well.
In addition, I have the honor to inform you that you have been selected to become Head Girl. Meet me on the Hogwarts Express with the Head Boy to go over your duties as Head Prefects.
Congratz,
Minerva McGonagall
A silver badge reading Head Girl dropped onto the table.
The four of us just stared. I thought of my previous years at Hogwarts.
"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one." I said looking into a compartment containing two boys. The red head muttered some reply but I wasn't paying attention. I was focusing on the wand he had out.
"Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see it then."
He chanted some ridculus poem and poked the rat sitting in front of him.Nothing happened.
I nearly scoffed, "Are you sure that's a real spell? Well, it's not very good, is it? I've tried a few simple spells for practice and it's all worked for me. Nobody's magic in my family at all, and it was ever such a surprise when I got my letter, but I was ever so pleased, of course, I mean, it's the very best school of witchcraft there is, I've heard- I've learned all our course books by heart, of course, I just hope it will be enough- I'm Hermionie Granger, by the way, who are you?"
The redhead muttered, "I'm Ron Weasly"
"Harry Potter," the dark haired one replied.
I followed the boys out of the room to apologise to Pon, but I heard him saying to Harry,"It's no wonder no one can stand her, she'sa noghtmare, honsetly."
The tears filled my eyes and I pushed past him and hurried to the girl's toilet.
When the troll came in, I was terrified. I ran around like a fool while Harry actully kept his head and ended up knocking it out with the help of Ron. To return the favor, I downright lied to the teachers and took the blame.
With a week until term started, we Flooed to Diagon Alley, as Ginny couldn't apperate. we got all our suplies and came home to a nice dinner. The rest of the week brought lots of Quidintch for the others, and lots of reading for me.
