Draco

I apperated to King's Cross with all my belongings on September 1st. As I leaned quite casually against the barrier, I slipped through into the magical world. I had no one to greet or say goodbye to.

I felt lonely as I loaded my trunk into the first empty compartment I came to. Then, I headed to the front to the Headmistress' car.

I sat in the empty car waiting for McGonagall. When she finally arrived, I got up and held open the door for her. The surprise on her face mirrored my own.

'Why had I done that?'

She smiled appreciatively, but I did not return it. She sat and I copied her move and sat across from her.

We had small talk, and when she seemed to be on the bridge of trusting me, a topic came up that turned my blood cold.

"Why did you become a Death Eater?" she questioned.

I did not answer.

"Were you forced or did you go willingly?' she persisted.

Still no response from me. I was becoming a bit annoyed.

She wasn't done. "How are your parents?"

I snapped at that point.

"I was forced into becoming a Death Eater because he was threatening my family! He tortured me! My mother cried herself to sleep because of the fact that our family was HOPELESS. She never got a rest! As soon as she thought we were safe, my father was taken into Azkaban! She got so drunk that she suicided from it! My father, who was supposed to be in jail, is now living in my childhood home! I was sent to the streets with no warning! I HAVE NO ONE TO GO TO!"

I was calming down now, and McGonagall was recovering from here shock.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Malfoy," she mumbled.

"Don't be." I was cool now.

At that moment, Granger walked in.

When we arrived at the station, we were quite the group. Harry and Hedwig, Ginny and Arnold, Ron and Pig, Me and Crookshanks, and Ms. Weasly got through the barrier all right.

When we were all finally on the platform, we were greeted to a sudden round of applause. We hastily said farewell to Ms. Weasly, and dashed to the train to find an empty compartment. I sat with Ron and Harry with Ginny.

During one of their frequent snog sessions, I remembered that I needed to see McGonagall.

I dashed through the cars to the front of the train. I heard yelling and sped up.

The shouting had stopped before I got close enough to make out the words. I hesitantly opened the door and saw none other than Draco Malfoy.

"Malfoy?" I hissed  the vemon clearly present.

"Granger." he spat.

McGonagall looked as if she wanted to get this over with, so she quickly reviewed the duties of Head Prefects.

She concluded with the passwords, and a shocking piece of news for the both of us.

"You will have to share a common room with one another to give an example that even though there are friendly rivalries between the houses, peace is still required. Oh, and You will also be sharing a compartment for the rest of the train ride to get aquainted."

"WHAT!!" both of us were yelling now.

"Please get your trunks and return to the compartment across from mine. I'll be watching so no trying to get out of it." McGonagall meant business.

I grudgingly retirived my trunk, promising to explain at the feast what was going on to my friends.

But first, I needed to figure our what was going on.

I lugged my trunk down the hallway and stopped before the right door I took a deep breath and stepped inside.

Malfoy was already there. We nodded cutly to each other and after getting my trunk put up, I leaned my head against the window, lost in thought, not noticing the fact that Malfoy was staring at me. I nodded off somewhere along the trip.
