In the start...
"Last deployment before we PCS to Hawaii," Dinah reminded her wife as she got dressed after their night together, "The kids will love it there."
"Correction, you will love it there. Our kids hate the water," Y/N reminded her with a chuckle as she slipped on some shorts and a bra, "How will they feel when they fly across the ocean to land on that tiny speck of land surrounded by water?"
"They'll learn to love it, they've gotta, they're Polynesian for crying out loud," she joked.
"Well technically only 4 of them are. I popped out 3 of those monsters, meaning they've got 0℅ Polynesian in them. Unless the donor was Polynesian, but I highly doubt it," Y/N said as she settled into bed.
"Actually Huelo gives off major Samoan vibes. I think that donor may have been Polynesian," Dinah said cheekily, " That would make 5 of our kids Polynesian."
"Ok, ok, so how would Dimitri & German learn to love the ocean if they're not Polynesian?"
Dinah smiled as she cuddled up next to Y/N, "They're my kids too, they'll find a way."
Y/N looked down at Dinah lovingly, "I love you, so much."
Dinah looked up at her with a smile. "I love you too," she said as she gave her a kiss, "Now get some sleep, we've got a big day tomorrow."
Y/N nodded as she closed her eyes and hugged Dinah close.
Off to war...
"Mommy please don't go," Matthew, the second youngest child pleaded, "What are we gonna do while you're gone?"
"You're gonna take care of Mama and Harmony, make sure they're both happy and healthy," she said as she hugged their son.
"But Harmony's annoying. All she does is cry," Matthew whined.
And speak of the devil, the 6 month old started crying as her older sister tried comfort her. "Way to go Lo you made her cry," Alia scolded.
"See! All she does is cry, please don't go mommy!" Matthew cried.
Y/N chuckled, "I have to baby, the man in charge said so."
"Trump," Dimitri scowled.
"I hate the man too, but until retirement next year, he's my boss."
"Lieutenant Colonel Y/L/N," a young soldier interrupted as she saluted Y/N.
Y/N turned to face the soldier and saluted her back, "At ease."
Clapping her arms and legs back together, the soldier stood at attention, "General Taylor would like to see you ma'am."
"I'll be right there, just give me a minute or two. Thank you sergeant," Y/N said as she turned to face her family again.
"I'm gonna miss you all so much," Y/N said with a crack in her voice as she reached for Harmony, "You be good for Mama, ok baby girl," she cooed as she tickled the 6 month old.
The baby giggled as she hugged Y/N's hand. The family awww'd as Y/N kissed the baby's forehead and handed her off to Dinah. She then went to Matthew and kneeled down to his level. He was crying and trying to wipe the tears away as fast as they were coming out.
