Chapter 2.

"I don't know ma, it's just not me" i say to my mom while we both look at my reflection on the mirror.
We were currently in my room trying to decide on what I should wear for tonight's big family dinner. I've never liked dresses that much but my dad insisted on me wearing something formal, so my mom was trying to help.

My mom puts her hand on her chin as she observes the dress. She lefts out a hum and turns to look at me
"Just wear some nice jeans and the nicest formal shirt you have, dresses were not made for you to wear, mija" she tells me as she pats my back I roll my eyes but let out a small laugh.

"What about dad?" I ask her and as I take off the dress.

"Oh he'll be fine, it's just a family dinner" she tells me and then leaves my room, closing the door behind her.

I change into some black high waisted skinny jeans and a yellow off-the-shoulder- shirt. I curled my hair and did regular make up, I did eyebrows, foundation, mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. I put on my yellow heels to match with my shirt. I grabbed my phone and my purse and headed downstairs.

"Is everyone ready?" My dad asks and grabs the car keys. When he turns around and sees me wearing jeans he lets out a sigh "Okay, I guess that's good."
We nod and start walking to the car.
I sit in the back seat, my mom on the passenger side and my dad is driving like always. He never lets my mom or I drive, unless he's not feeling well.

I took out my phone and saw that I had two messages, one from Kevin and the other one from Kiera.
I opened Kevin's first.

Kevi : I'm not sure if I can tell my parents...

Me : Kev, you have to tell them sooner or later and I'm gonna be there with you. I'm sure they will accept you, and if they don't, then it's okay.. you'll always have me (:

Kevi : That's the nicest thing you've said to me in like...forever

As I read his response I let out a laugh and see that he sent another message.

Kevi : No, but seriously thank you so much, Bella for being there for me and going to that dinner with me💓

Me : No need to thank me, boo I got you.💗

I then, open Kiera's message and I roll my eyes playfully

Kiki : So did you get his number? ;)

Me : No we barely even talked lmao

Kiki : oooh so y'all fucked?

We obviously didn't do anything but I thought it'll be fun to mess with her a little bit.

Me : yah, he's actually really good in bed like dayum

Kiki : OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS? I WAS JUST MESSING WITH YOU OMG BELLA!! TELL ME TELL ME

Me : you really really REALLY need some help. Gtg bye Kiki 💗

I put my phone away and got comfortable on the seat. It's a 30 minute drive from my house to my grandparents house and we still have like 20 minutes left so I look out the window while my parents are talking about who will be attending the family reunion. I heard that most of my cousins are going and that some will probably bring some friends with them.
I got a little mad at that because I could've taken Kevin with me, I'm that cousin that almost no one likes, yeah they talk to me but I can see that they prefer not to.

I look out the window and checked my phone at times until I noticed we were there. My dad parked the car and we got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance to my grandparents house.
