Cheap Pack of Cigarettes.//HS

Chapter 1.

I woke up to my alarm going off with the most annoying sound. I rolled out of bed and went to the bathroom, I started brushing my teeth when I heard my phone buzzing on the drawer next to my bed I continued brushing my teeth as I went to check who had texted me this early, I checked the time and it was 10am.

What is anyone doing awake at 10am?

If I didn't have to go to work I would still be dreaming about that burger I was eating earlier in that dream. Damn did it look good.
I came back to reality when a drop of toothpaste got on my phone screen, that's how good the burger looked.

I cleaned my phone screen on my pijama shorts and glanced at my phone to see who texted me. I saw that it was my best friend, Kevin asking me if I had done the math homework that was due tomorrow, he never does any homework so I knew he asked me so he could copy it. I groaned and I put my phone back on the table. I went to the bathroom and rinsed my mouth and then washes my face.
When I got back I sent a picture of the homework to Kevin.

I changed into some jeans and a black shirt, that was kind of the uniform for the coffee shop. Yes, I work in a coffee shop it's not too bad. I put my shoes on and went to the kitchen to eat something before going to work.

I put my hair up in a ponytail and walk down the stairs, I see my mom and dad seating on the couch. My mom watching a cooking show while my dad is typing something on his laptop.

"Good morning, sweetie" my mom says as she sees me walk down the stairs.

"Morning" I smile to both of them.

"Don't forget we have that dinner with your grandparents today, Bella" my dad tells me. I groaned and grabbed the box of Cocoa Puffs and serve some in a bowl. I open the fridge to get the milk and pour some on the cereal before going to seat on the couch next to my mom.

"Can't I just stay here? I mean all they're gonna talk about is how Michael is finally getting married and how he finally settled down" I saw emphasizing the "finally", just when I was going to start eating my cereal I realized I had forgotten a spoon.

Oh well, I started eating it from the bowl and from the corner of my eye I saw my mom giving me the "what are you doing" face I just shrugged and went back to eating my cereal.

"Oh come on, mija you haven't seen your cousins in a long time" my dad said
I let out a laugh and say
"Trust me dad, I'm okay with that" he shook his head and went back to typing on his laptop.
I start work at 11am so I should probably get going. I finished my cereal and I put the bowl in the sink then I said my goodbyes and
grabbed my purse, my phone and the car keys.

I got in the car and drove off to work while jamming to The 1975.

When I parked I got out of the car and locked it. I went inside the coffee shop and saw that there weren't too many people here today.

I smiled at some customers and went to the back to put my stuff in my little locker, I saw my coworker, Kiera yelling at someone on the phone. Probably her boyfriend since they've been having some problems because of him coming home late saying that they had to stay a few more hours to work on something. He never tells her on what, he only says "we were working on something" I mean is it that hard to put the pieces together and know that he's cheating on her?
She knows that he's lying but she doesn't wanna believe it.

She saw me and gave me a little quick hug before going back to arguing on the phone.
I put on a black apron and go to the front to take some orders.
I put on the best fake smile I can for the costumes and call for the next customer.
