I'm wide awake even though it's already 11:00 in the evening. I still can't shake off the feeling that what that sonneillon guy told me are true. I mean, it's been a week or so but I still remember it clearly. I tossed and turn, helplessly trying to find the right sleeping position. I sighed, finally giving up.
'I guess I'll be up late again?' I thought to myself as I stared at the ceiling.
"Did that just happened few days ago?" I asked to no one. It bothers me how everyone knows what to do after the incident like they all knew it was bound to happen.
~Flashback (after the incident)~
"oh my father, are you okay Castielle?" Sophie rushed to my side as she inspect me for any wounds.
"oh dear divinity, you're bleeding cas! What happened?!" she frantically shouted while searching for a first aid kit on her bag.
"What happened?" cade asked, not looking to me but to chris. huh? Why is he asking chris?
"They are making their move." Chris looked intently at him as he furrowed his eyebrows even more.
"What do you mean by 'them'?" I asked him. They all looked at each other, communicating through their eyes.
"Let me see your wound." Cade said while examining my wounded shoulder and dodging my question. I winced when he suddenly touched it that cause him to retreat his hands.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"it's okay... don't worry." I cut him short. He nodded.
"Here it is. Put it on your wound before it gets infected." Sophie handed the gauze and some bandage. Cade then wrapped it clean and help me stood up.
"We're escorting you to your home." He said. I didn't argue with him because I know that he will win anyway and I'm exhausted by the things that happened today. The ride home was painfully quite. No one wants to talk about anything, especially about what happened. I decided that I badly need answers so I spoke,
"You guys are acting weird. Are you keeping a secret from me?" I saw Sophie froze from her seat and looked at me.
"Cas, you need to rest. You need one now." She said softly.
"You didn't answer my question Sophie. Are you keeping a secret from me?" I repeated.
"Somnum." Someone whispered and the next thing i knew, i was drifting off.
"I'm sorry." She said and that was the last thing I heard before I fell to sleep. I woke up in my bed alone, feeling a little better than earlier.
"Hey. You're awake. Are you hungry?" someone said at the door and saw my mom entering my room. I sat up and smiled at her.
"No thank you mom. How long was I asleep?" I asked her as she sat next to me.
"A couple of hours. Your friends brought you here." She replied, her eyes looked worried and happy at the same time.
"Mom. Can i ask you something?"
"Yes dear."
"I'm not crazy am i? Maybe i'm just imagining things, but... Do you think my friends are keeping something from me?" I questioned her, hoping that she'll say yes. She gave me a bitter smile.
"Let's talk about this when you're better. It's already late. Good night sweetheart. The almighty bless you." She kissed my forehead and left the room leaving me full of questions.
