Hello there my cherished reader. I'm not a writer..so please pardon my mistakes and inexperience . I hope you enjoy my book. 😊😊

"Alex ! "Ellen called
Alex knows that there's trouble whenever her mom called her that way so she replies sweetly to cool her off.
"Mom dear "
"Where the hell are my jewelry. I know there's only one person who has the guts to touch them "  Ellen says
"Oh cmon mom, I'm not a thief. I just borrowed them last night for an outing ." Alex replies
"Silly ass girl. You never learn do you?. Didn't I teach you to return things to their rightful owners if you know they not yours?" She reprimands
" bring back my stuff " she adds
"Is that an order mom?" Alex toys with her
"Silly, BRING IT NOW!..now that's an order " she replies
Ales giggles and return them. She loved it when she provoked her single mom even tho she never brought her any problems from outside the house to their home. Ever since her dad died she made sure to live right in order not to trouble her mom and loose her as well.Being the only child of both parents she made sure to never make her parents be called for her making trouble. She kept a clean slate. Her mom was her everything and now at 16 she will not let anyone mess around her mom.
Fifteen minutes later , Ellen calls on her daughter from her room . Running like a 2 years old playing chase she budged into her moms room.
"Have I not told you to stop running around the house like that Alex?" She asks
"Sorry mom" Alex says with an innocent look
Seeing her face, she chuckles and coo at her "see her sweet puppy angel face . Ok. That's not why I called you...." She saids gesturing Alex to look at her as she turns around clockwise
"How do I look sweetie?" She ask Alex for confirmation
" Aaaaw.. You look sweet mom. Ravishingly gorgeous ...why? . Where are you off to cos this doesn't look like work " Alex replies with a teasing look.
Turning her back to Alex, she replies " I'm going for a date " she replies uncomfortably ,breaking the news . She didn't want her daughter to feel she has started to move on from her dad . But that wasn't the case . She was bored and she needed a life.
" oh mom , that's so cute. I'm so happy for you mom" Alex squeals excitedly hugging her from behind . Ellen turns around surprised as she asks "really Alex? Are you sure?"
"Yes mom. Why? You think I like seeing you lonely when I'm out ? Never. I'll be glad to see that spark in your eyes again like when dad...." She stops when she sees her moms eyes fill with tears.
"I'm so sorry mom. I shouldn't have mentioned dads name . I know you miss him mom" she says as she hugs her
"Yes baby, I miss him every single day I see you. The result of our love for each other. How can I not miss him."
"I'm sorry mom, sorry he's gone . But life has to move on mom. We have to move on." Alex replies with confidence .
"Wow!. Is this my little Alex who I had to put to sleep every night when she lost her paps? " Ellen asks amazed at how much her little girl had grown in the years that passed after their grief.
"Yes mom. I've learnt to move on . A friend taught me that ." Alex replies with a goofy grin and a spark in her eyes as she thought about Elkin .
"Wow...that's good. I will like to meet her sometime soon ally." Her mom says
Alex clears her throat as she realize her mom called Elkin her." Actually Maa, she's a he..I mean my friend is male not female , he...you get me ?" She finishes after blabbing on about difference between him and her.
Her mom laughs and hugs her as she suspects her daughter already had a crush on her friend
" sure sweets.. I get you. Gotta go. Don't wanna keep him waiting ." She winks
She kisses her goodbye and darts down the stairs of their huge semi detached house.
" oh and before I forget. No house parties. We are through with them" Ellen yells as she remembers how her daughter became so persistent on having a house party at 13 that onetime when she travelled she threw one and it went out the roof.
"sure  mom. No house parties " she yells back
With a start of her car from the garage she is gone . Alex sighs as she goes down to the living  room. Ever since her dad died 6 years ago they both shut down. Not wanting to socialize or go out in the open due to they being known everywhere and the unwanted sympathy they would get. Alex and her mom fought all their troubles together by sharing them and sharing ideas . She adored her mom as much as her mom adored her even tho she wished she looked more like her than like her dad. She had her dads jet black hair , round face and blue eyes . Luckily she had her moms slender body with her fat at the right sides of her body.
Home alone , she turns up some music in the living room and dances to her room to shower singing along to the song , these girls ain't loyal by Chris brown. Moving her body rhythmically to the music ,she strips and enters the bathroom. She reminisces on all those times their house used to be lively with her dad making fun of her mom and they playing hide and seek together. Those days were the best and she almost lost her mind when she heard her dad had died in a car crash right on the spot. She watched her mom breakdown in front of her and it was the last time she wished she ever saw her mom that way. She remembered being broken too until she met Elkin.
" Elkin " she says dreamily as she thinks of him.
