"HEEEEEELP!"
Applejack shot up from her bed, startled by the cry for help. She rushed out of her room to see Big Mac run out of his as well.
"C'mon!" she yelled at him. They both hurriedly made their way to drown door of the house, only to be greeted by a horrific sight.
Out on the horizon was the barn, glowing like the sun as it was set ablaze.
"APPLEBLOOM!"
Applejack ran as fast as her hooves could carry her, while Big Mac galloped along side her. With each heavy she grew more anxious, worrying if her sister was even alive.
Soon she made to the barn and began furiously bucking at the doors until they gave way. Each kick was harder than the last, until... BAM!
Meanwhile...
Dash tossed and turned, struggling to fall into the sweet embrace of sleep. Practice was brutal today, taking a toll on her physically and mentally. She decided to give up and take a fly around town.
As she arose out of bed and glanced out one of her windows, she noticed a soft, orange glow in the horizon.
"What the heck is that..." she mumbled. She stared intently as she realized it wasn't just a soft glow, it was a huge fire. And it wasn't just a fire. It was Applejack's barn.
She gasped and without hesitation, threw her window open and flew as fast as she could.
Applejack rushed into the burning barn, as she screamed their names. The smoke burned her eyes as she tried to keep her head low. Flames surrounded her as she followed the safest path through the barn.
"Applebloom! SweetieBelle! Scootaloo!" She called over and over until she caught sight of a curly tail next to a blazing pile of hay.
"SweetieBelle!" The tail twitched slightly.
"I'm here sugarcube! Hang on!" Applejack coughed as she maneuvered past fallen beams and fire. She found an unconscious SweetieBelle. The cow pony carefully lifted her up and carried her close to her chest, until she was back outside, where Big Mac rushed to her aid as he took the filly from her.
Applejack rushed back inside while Big Mac watched over SweetieBelle.
Rainbow Dash flew with all her might until she met the blazing barn. She ran over to Big Mac to get some answers.
"Big Mac! What the hay happened!?""Applejack's in there! So are Applebloom an' Sccotaloo!"
Dash didn't hesitate for another second before she ran head first into the fiery inferno. She kept her head low as she searched for a sign of anypony. She caught a glimpse of Applejack leaving the barn with a wheezing Applebloom.
Dash proceeded onward, calling out for Sccotaloo as fire barely glazed past her fur and burned her. She walked under the flaming roof, until, *SNAP* A beam from the roof collapsed and fell on top of her. Dash screamed in pain. She could her cracking as she struggled from its grasp. She freed herself, barely able to stand. But she knew she had to press on, for Scootaloo.
It wasn't until she was at the back of the barn that she found scootaloo tucked away in a corner, shaking and coughing. She was trapped under a fiery beam, unconscious. She tried desperately to lift the beam, but to no avail. She tried to think of something, anything. She kept trying and trying until she succeeded and flipped the beam off of Scootaloo.
Dash hurriedly grabbed onto Scootaloo. She was badly injured, as was Dash. She cuffed the filly in her chest, as she coughed and hacked. She managed to make it out of the barn with the foal, right before she collapsed.
