Ch. 4 Sleepover

     I wake up, the light shining threw the window. I look over butters who still asleep. I get up and head to the bath room, I get my shower, and decide to wear black shorts, a white lace shirt and my black sandals. I get out of the bath room and head down to the kitchen, butters hot on my trail. I feed her and then get me some lucky charms. The way every thing whet yesterday I need some luck. After I get done I text Chloe to see if she ready. Right then I hear a nock at the door. "I'll get it!" I yell to my mom who heading down the steers. I open the door to see Chloe.
     "Hey friend." She says to me. Holding out her phone, the text I sent on the screen. "That's creepy, you know that?" I ask her. Chloe wearing a white dress, gold headband, and brown Greek sandals that go up to her knees. "Why do you think I did it? I mean one of use half to be the wired one in this friend ship and wired right up my alley." She smiles at me. I can't beat the logic I think. We get in Chloe jeep and head to the sideshow. We pull at the sideshow and get out to the jeep. After the five minute fight on wear Gideon would be we desire to head to his trailer. We walk to see him working on a car off to the side. He dose not see us so I walk up and tap his shoulder.
     He look up at me and I give a small smile. He smiles back. "I see you came." Gideon's stats. "Of course we did." I say Chloe waves at him and he smiles at her. "So, what is your plain?" I ask him. "I assume you have one."
"I do, kind of.... I think it will show up again tonight so we will half to wait till then. Maybe you can get something from the tigers, they seems to pick on when that thing is coming." He tells me. I shake my head ok and he leads us to the tigers. Zeke the tigers handler walks up to use. "Who are they?" He ask Gideon. "This is Chloe and Amy, there here to help us with....what ever been coming after us." He tells Zeke. He then tells Zeke about me, how I can talk to animals and that Maybe I can get something from the tigers. "You can talk to my tigers.?" He says, looking a little amazed. "What are they saying right now?" He ask. I walk over to the tigers cage, both tigers come walking up to me. They are happy to see me, most animals are happy to find out someone can talk to them, understand them. I tell Zeke about how they liked the food he feed them moments ago and how they wish he would fill the pool faster in the morning.
"That so cool, you can talk to them any time." He tells me smiling. He go in side the cage to fill there pool. I sit down in front of the cage and start to ask them how there day was, I don't just want to come out and ask about the shadow thing, it scared them pretty bad last time so I'll work my way to the question. After Mahila and Safeda tell me about there day I ask them if they know any thing about the shadow. They get nervous but start to tell me about how it can hurt them, that they don't like it and that they want to leave. I tell Gideon, Zeke, And Chloe what they told me. "Is that all?" Gideon ask me.
"Yes, they don't seem to know that much, but they told me we should be afraid." I tell him. Gideon says ok and then leads me and Chloe way from the tigers and Zeke to his trailer. "If you girls want, you can just hang around till tonight, the shows don't start till dark but the games are up and running." Gideon tells us. "Ok, if you want I can help you with setting up, if you need the help." I tell him. "Really?" He ask looking a bit shock. I smile at him. "Yeah, Chloe can help to." I point over to wear Chloe.....was? "Ok, it will be just me helping." I tell him, laughing a bit. "Your friend ran off at the sound of games." Gideon laughs. "That seems about right." I tell him.
For the rest of the day I help Gideon with any thing that needs to be done. We fixed that car he was working on, and help this girl name Mara, who looks a lot like Chloe with but she has grey color eyes with washing some stuff that need to be cleaned. Right now I'm helping Gideon re-paint this booth. I've got some blue and yellow paint on me. So dose Gideon. "Your a better painter then I'll ever be." Gideon tells me. "I paint a lot, it just something I like to do." I tell him. He looks over at me and smiles. "Well it's a good thing you do because this would not look as good then." He laughs. I smile back at him. We both get up when done and start to head to his trailer to get cleaned up. We are walking back when my foot hits a hole and I trip, before I hit the ground someone grabs me. I look up and see Gideon looking at me worried. "You ok love?" He ask, his British accent coming out. "did I tell you I'm good at falling to?" I laugh a little. My face red.
He laughs a little bit and pulls me up. I go to walk but the pain in my ankle stops me. "Your not ok." Gideon tells me. "I just twist my ankle, I'll be fine."
"Not if you walk on it." He then picks me up brittle stile. "I can walk." I tell him, my face even more red. "I'll take you back to my trailer and we can put a ice pack on it to keep the swelling down. Ok?" He ask. "Yeah, that fine." I smile at him. Gideon walks back to his trailer, I lay my head on him. I can't wait to get home and sleep I think to my self. And that when a thought comes to me. "Gideon what am I'm going to do when that thing shows up, if it dose?" By then Gideon has walk into his trailer and has put me down on a chair. "I dint think of that. You can't go out there, you won't be able to run if it comes after you. Gideon grabs a ice pack from the fridge and puts it on my ankle. He then walks over to the Window and looks out. "It's getting dark, I think it would be a good idea if your friend and you just stay here tonight." He tells me. " ok. I'll text Chloe and see were she is." I pull out my phone and text Chloe, she texts back saying she will stay with Mara. I tell Gideon what she text me.
"That will fine, I don't have any were to sleep besides my bed." Gideon tells me. "If you want I'll take the floor, I don't mind." He says. "It's ok Gideon. Just no funny business, got it?" I joke at him. "Ok." He laughs. "I won't do the show tonight." He tells me. "I don't need a baby sitter Gideon." "I want to stay with you, and you can't change my mind." He walks over and picks me up. He then walks into his room and puts me down on his bed. His room mostly clean besides for a few books and other things likes random tools laying about. Gideon takes off his shoes. And then grabs some cloths from his dresser. "Here, you can sleep in theses if you want." I grab the cloths and thank him. He walks out with cloths for him self. I change then tell him he can come back in.
Gideon wearing a blue tee shirt and gray sweatpants. I'm wearing a black tee and same color sweats. I lay down and Gideon climes in bed beside me. He turns off the light beside the bed and lay down. It's quiet for a moment till I speak. "Hey Gideon?" I ask "what is it Amy?" He ask back. "Do you think that thing will show up?"
"I hope not, why do you ask?" He says to me. "Just wondering." I tell him. "I'll keep you safe, don't worry about Amy." He looks at me and gives me a caring smile. "I promise I'll keep you safe."
"I know." I smile back at him. I then snuggle into him, laying my head on his chess. He seems surprises at first but then wraps his arms around me. "Good night Amy." He says into my pink hear. "Night Gideon." I say, falling into a deep sleep.
