Dan

I move several paces away from Phil when my eyes catch sight of Ana, hoping she won't notice me at all.

When she looks up, her eyes link with Phil's and she gives him a warm smile, attempting to seem like a decent person in her drunken state.

That is, until those dreaded words leave her friends mouth.

"That's the boy I saw Dan holding hands with the other day."

And just like that, all hopes of this evening going well is instantly dropped.

Ana's warm smile quickly turns into an angry frown, a look that I know all too well. It would be fine if it was just me here, I can take it. But I can't even bare the thought of what she might do to Phil, who her eyes are still locked on.

I arms go out protectively as Ana starts to walk forward, stumbling in her current state.

"So." She begins, walking close to where Phil and I are standing. "First you flat out lie to me, then you bring this boy into my house?" She spits her venom with her words.

"I didn't lie." It barely comes out a whisper, fear completely taking over me.

She laughs, throwing her head back like a child.

When she looks back at Phil, I see the rage in her eyes. It almost burns trough my skull. I know what she wants. She wants me to move away from Phil, so she can carry out the same pain to him as she's been doing to me for years. And I know I'll pay for it later, but I don't move an inch. I will not let her hurt Phil.

"Where were you going?" She slurs, stepping even closer to me. I can smell the alcohol on her breath.

"I was just going for a walk." My voice comes out stained, clear that I'm lying.

"Don't you fucking lie to me." Her face is now inches away from mine.

Since her attention is focused on me, I motion behind me for Phil to leave. But he doesn't move.

"Phil, GO!" I basically shout in Ana's face.

"Phil, stay," she says quietly, shoving me to the side and moving closer to Phil, getting as close to his face as she was to mine just seconds earlier.

I fall to the ground, quickly picking myself up and going over to Ana, grabbing both her arms and pinning them behind her back. She struggles to get away, but I hold tight.

"Phil, Go! I'm right behind you!" I yell at him. This time, he runs out the front door, grabbing my bag along the way.

I let go of Ana and she falls forward.

"You're not going anywhere!" she spits at me, lunging forward, trying to wrap his cold hands around my neck, but I dodge her and bolt out the door.

I slam the door behind me, grabbing my bag from Phil and continuing to run down the street, already out of breath and from the way he's breathing, so is Phil.

I hear the door open behind me but I don't look back.

"You better run, faggots!" I hear her yell behind me. "And don't ever come back!"

Oh trust me, I won't.

I wanted this chapter to be longer, but I didn't really have time and I needed to update since I haven't in a while. I'm sorry if anyone is offended by the language used in here. If you are, please let me know so I can put a warning up. I only put it in because it is something Ana would say, I would never actually say it.

Sorry it's taken me so long to update, the only time I can update now is at school since I don't have any devices at home anymore. And updating at school is always super awkward since people kind of look at me funny if I say that I'm writing fanfiction.
