"Come on son! You'll be late to camp!" Yells Mr. Mosq, my dad. I hope he realizes that I'll be gone for over 3 years at an academy atop some mountain in Asia. Luckily the whole class and instructors will be American so I don't need to learn Chinese.
My dad doesn't really have time for love, besides loving his job in an excavation plant. He's the CEO of the whole discovering, innovating, glory of the past (or D.I.G.O.P) program. He's really into it. So much that he doesn't even tell me goodbye as the buses roll up to the front door.
My family is really rich. My grandmother and Mom passed away 7 years ago in a head-on car crash on their way to see my dad win his award for becoming CEO. When my dad heard the news, he didn't shed a single tear. I was bawling so loudly that my own dad had me sit outside the conference room. My Grandmother had millions in her bank account so the money was passed to my dad and now that he is CEO, he makes even more millions.
But enough rambling on how my family is super rich. I actually don't like to talk about my family's wealth, it reminds me of my Mom. I didn't know my Grandmother all that much so when I heard my Mom had died, it really hit me hard.
Anyways back to heading on the buses. I tried to wave at my Dad but he had already climbed in the car and was waiting for the buses to pass. So I climbed in. Everyone on the buses were staring at the giant mansion I lived in and when I entered one of the buses, all heads turned towards me. I'm a nervous wreck when a group of people look at me, but I bottled it up and went to go sit in the back of the bus. As we rolled away from my house, a tear rolled away from my cheek. I didn't want to go to this stupid academy. I hated leaving my own property. I never needed to. Butlers would always go to the grocery store or in-home tutors would teach me. I never needed to leave. Not that I was lazy, I was always headed to the gym on the 3rd floor in the morning. But like I said, I never needed to.
As I sit in my seat (I'm the only one sitting in it) I think of how my time here is going to be miserable. Luckily it won't be too bad, I know one person on this bus, the bus driver. My Dad's company is also the owner of the academy so my Dad is the one who employed him. His name is Buck, and he's only taking us there so everyone else is a stranger.
Oh sorry! I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Kal Mosq, and I am going to D.I.G.O.P academy.
