John Laurens POV ~Edited~
"Johnny boy, get up!" My brother Lafayette called to me, chucking a pillow at my face. (A/N yes i made Lafayette his brother)
"Yette, shut up!" I called back at him, covering my face with the pillow he chucked at me, smirking at the name i just made up for him.
"Dont call me that, bitch!" He yelled at me.
"Dont call me bitch!" I called back.
"Excuse me?" I heard my mother in the doorway. I quickly pulled my pillow off my face, and peered at my mother. Lafayette covered his face with his shirt, snorting into it.
"Sorry, I didnt know you were there," I said truly to my mother.
"That doesn't give you an excuse to swear. I dont even like Laf swearing, but he's 18, and I can't tell him not to. But i can tell him to get his ass up and go get a job or he's not staying here. I mean, goodness Laf, your eighteen, almost 19! " My mother snapped at Laf, who's face reddened.
"Now, J, get up and get ready. Its your first day of highschool today, an important one at that. Your clothes are washed, but still in the dryer. They should be dry by now, i threw them in last night. I have to go to work, both of you boys behave. I better not get another call from the school, Laurens," My mother said directly to me. I giggled. She kissed my forehead.
I waved at my mother, as she stepped out the door, and drove off to work in her car. I turned to say something to Lafayette, but he had disappeared. I shrugged to myself, as I ran to my closet. I tripped, and slapped the door shut behind me, tumbling into a pile of my favorite flannel shirts.
I picked up a black and white flannel, sliding it over a plain black shirt. Then i picked a hair tie up off the ground, blew the dust off, and pulled my curly hair into a ponytail behind my head. I opened the closet, and started heading to the basement, to grab some jeans from the dryer, when Lafayette popped up.
"John Laurens just came out of the closet!" He yelled, giggling. I punched him in the arm, blushing deep red. Yes, I was gay, but he didn't know that, nor need to know that. I slipped past him, jogging down the stairs, my flannel flying behind me. I landed at the bottom of my stairs in a gust of wind.
I popped open the dryer, and slid on some fitted black jeans. "Yo Lafayette, can you give me a ride to school?" I asked him.
"Oui," He yelled back.
"Okay, thanks," I jogged upstairs, threw my backpack over my shoulder, and slipped out the door that Lafayette held open. I slipped into Lafayette's passenger seat, and dropped my backpack at my feet.
He stepped into the car, and we listened to Panic! at the Disco, as we neared my school. He pulled up to the curb, and I started to open the car door, when Lafayette pulled me towards him.
Lafayette kissed my forehead, and looked deep in my eyes. "Amusez-vous petit frère," He told me. Have fun little brother.
I stepped out of the car, pulling my bag behind me. I turned and said to him "Goodbye," before quickly making my way towards the large school, as he pulled into a parking spot on the other side of the school.
"Oh merde," I whispered to myself. Oh shit. "Cela va être amusant." This is going to be fun.
