John Lauren's POV ~Edited~
I awoke to my brother Lafayette, shaking me. "John! You slept through school!" He screamed at my face.
"Huh?" I asked him, squinting at him. I turned my head slightly to the side, and saw Alexander, standing in the doorway.
"You never got up. I thought you were taking the bus, since you never asked for a ride to school. But I guess, you never woke up. " He explained.
"But I wasn't even tired." I sighed.
"Maybe your sick," Lafayette said, reaching over and feeling my forehead. "Your warm, that's for sure." He pulled the covers off of me, and pulled my shirt off. "I'm gonna go get us some food from Mcdonalds, do you want anything?" Lafayette asked me.
"Just a strawberry banana smoothie," I responded.
"Alexander, keep an eye on him while I'm gone, please." Lafayette nodded at Alexander.
"Sure thing," Alexander answered.
I heard Lafayette slam the front door, and his car started up. I yawned, stretching my legs. Alexander was looking me up and down, and I covered myself with my hands, self consciously, after realizing my shirt had been pulled off by Lafayette.
"Do you feel sick?" He asked me. I looked up at him and nodded my head slightly. "Is there anything I can do? What hurts?" He asks, concerned.
"I don't know what you could do. I've got a headache, my legs are sore, my stomach is burning." I answered him truthfully.
He sat down on the edge of my bed, and ran a hand through his hair. Then he looked at me, and his brown eyes twinkled. I blushed, when he caught me looking. He leaned down, and ran a hand through my hair.
"My mom used to do this, when I was real young, and had a headache. It used to make me feel better," He explained, continuing to run his fingers through my hair.
"Where is your mom?" I questioned him.
"Dead," He simply replied, showing no emotion in his voice, but his eyes drooped, and his head dropped a little.
"Oh, shit, I'm sorry," I blurted. I saw his eyes start to water, and I felt so guilty. I grabbed the hand that wasn't running through my hair, and squeezed it. He looked up at me and gave me a weak smile.
"Its not your fault, you didn't know. " He told me. I felt something burn worse in my stomach and start to rise to my throat. I tugged on Alex's sweatshirt, but before he could ask what, I threw up on his chest.
I took a bunch of deep breaths until I was able to look up and realize what I had done. "I-I'm so sorry," I whispered to him, my eyes watering from embarrassment. I looked up at him, to see him laughing. Laughing at me? I started crying, being the sensitive person I am.
"Hey, don't cry. Its okay. Its not your fault, your sick. Come here," He lifted me bridal style into his arms, and set me down by my bath tub. I rubbed the tears from my eyes, as Alexander started running the bath water.
"I'm really sorry," I told him again. He gave me an assuring smile, before taking his shirt off. He tossed it to the side of the bathroom. As he focused on getting the water the right temperature, I found myself staring at his very defined abs.
I hadn't realized he was looking at me, until he cleared his throat. I looked up to meet his brown eyes.
"Take your pants and boxers off," Alexander told me.
"W-what?" I asked.
"So I can help you into the bath?" He said.
"I.." I blushed a very deep red.
"Your as much of my friend as Lafayette is. Come on, I don't want you to be dirty. You'll be more sick if you do that." He told me.
"O-okay," I said. He started to help me unzip my pants, and pull my boxers down. I covered myself with my hands, as he helped me sit down in the bath water. He then pulled out a bottle of bubbles. He poured them in with some running water, and the bubbles covered the tub, luckily, covering me up as well.
My bedroom door opened, and Lafayette strolled in, handing Alexander a bag, and then setting my smoothie down on the side of the tub.
"Oh wow, you got him to take a bath? Not even I can do that," Lafayette scoffed. I blushed. I had always hated baths. I always refused to get into one, and always refused anyone to help me if I even decided to bathe.
I laid my head on the back of the bath. "I don't wanna move," I whispered. "Everything hurts." I added.
Alexander shoved a French fry into his mouth, and ate it. Then he poured some conditioner onto his hands, rubbed them together, and started rubbing it into my curly hair. "My mother used to wash my hair like this too, its pretty calming. Maybe after we get you cleaned, I can take you to the doctors. Just to be sure your okay," He smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Yah, you could spend the night too, and help me help John overnight. My moms still at her conference. Apparently its gonna last a week." Lafayette offered Alexander.
"Yah." Alexander smiled.
This is probably really dumb and stuff but.... I am tired, and I've been writing for thirty minutes. This is kind of just a filler chapter, with cute stuff in it. I'm listening to Hamilton music right now by the way, so yah :) inspiration. And, warning, there is going to be stuff in here that is considered mature. In upcoming chapters. I'm still trying to post at least one chapter a day, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job, so hopefully I stay on track. Its gonna be harder now though, because there's a festival going on.
