Car Crash

Chapter one

"I'll see you later tonight." I said walking onto my driveway, waving goodbye to Colby. "See yeah" he said walking away.

    Colby was like the perfect guy best friend. The only problem was I could never be around him when my parents were around. I had to make up excuses to see him or sneak around.

     I'm not a bad kid just my parents don't like me hanging around guys. They think I'm too young for a boyfriend. I've explained to them that Colby's just a friend, but they don't like that he's...well... a male.

      My parents are easy to get away with because they have other stuff that they worry about so they don't pay attention to what I do much.

      "Hi sweetie" my mom says smiling at me. "Hi mom" I say taking an apple from the counter. "Do you mind if I go over to Jasmine's today, we are doing a protect for class." I ask taking a bite out of the apple.

      "Sure sweetie just be home before it gets to late and keep your phone on you." She says. "Thanks mom" I say walking out the door before throwing away the apple.

      I pull out my phone and text Jasmine.

K- Hey I  told my mom we are doing a project at your house can you cover for me?

J- yeah I've got you.

K- Thanks!

   Ok like I said I have to come up with excuses to hang out with Colby. I'm just lucky I have a friend who will cover for me.

      I walk through town till I come to Colby's house. I knock on the door and wait till he opens it. It opens a couple seconds later and his dog starts to jump on me.

     "Hey Levi!" I say getting on my knees to pet him. "I've missed you too bud" I say pushing his head away so he couldn't lick me on the face. "Levi in" Colby says. Levi walks back inside and Colby shuts the door. He locks it then starts walking with me to his car.

      We get in and Colby starts pulling out as I close my eyes and let the suns warm rays hit my face.

     A couple minutes later Colby pulls over onto a trail in the woods and drives back till the highway can no longer see us.

   The car comes to a stop and I quickly get out and run up a hill to a small cliff. Colby slowly follows behind.

     We both sit on the edge of the cliff watching to sun slowly disappear.

     "Have you ever wanted to know what people think?" I ask. "Nope" he responds. "Why, it'd be so cool you would always know what people thought about you" I said turning to face him.

     "But it would drive you crazy" he responded still looking at the sun. "Who says we aren't already crazy!" I say excitement in my voice. "Please everyone already knows your crazy" he says with a slight smile on his face. "Haha funny" I say rolling my eyes.

      We hear leaves crunch in the woods behind us and we both quickly turn our head. "It was probably just an animal" Colby says. "Lets go look!" I say standing up and walking down to the woods. "Are you crazy!" Colby says quickly chasing after me.

       He grabs my arm and turns me around. "We don't know what's in their!" He says. He's face looked so petrified. I laughed and said "you don't have to go if you don't want to scaredy cat, and I thought it was just an animal" i smile before turning back around and walking into the woods.

    I walked towards the sound of crunching leaves Colby follows behind. It starts getting louder and louder. I see something move behind a tree. I quickly walk over to it and slowly turn to look around the tree.

      As soon as I look around the tree I see a rabbit hop away quickly. "See it was just a little rabbit" I say looking at Colby. He lets out a sigh of relief and says "come on let's go." I laugh and follow him out back to the cliff. The sun was almost down and was getting dark.

      We start walking back to the car when I notice Colby looking at me. "You like what you see"I say sarcastically starting to walk like a model. Colby rolls he's eyes and says "what I like this that sweatshirt."

      Colby and I basically like and wear the same stuff we dressed in "all black" clothes, as kids at school would say. I never saw it though. I mean yeah we wear a lot of black but we also wear other colors too. Just most of our clothes were black.

       I always stole Colby's clothes because I liked them and they fit. I mean they were a little big but I still liked them. Colby never seemed to mind much because he always knew I gave them back.

      "Oh this?" I say crossing my arms across my chest for warmth. "Yeah that" Colby said unlocking the car. I open my door and get in. I shut the door and buckle my buckle. I yawn and close my eyes slowly falling asleep.

     What felt like a couple seconds later I was being shook awake. I groaned and opened my eyes to see Colby. "I want that sweatshirt back" he says as I unbuckle. "Yeah yeah" I say climbing out of the car. I watch as he drives away and the car disappears.

      I then walk up to my front door and opened it. I walk in and see my mom and dad watching TV. "Did you get your protect done sweetie" my mom says. "Yeah I left it at Jasmines house though" I say before kissing them and walking up to my room. I change into comfy clothes and turn out the light.
