Car Crash

Chapter five

I woke up and looked over to see Colby snoring on the couch. I roll my eyes and grab his phone. I throw it over and hit him on the back.

"Ow what was that for" he says rubbing his back. "Your snoring and it annoys me" I said smiling. He gets up and walks over to me. "I enjoy annoying you"

I roll my eyes and mess up his hair. "You might wanna mix that" he walks to the bathroom, and a couple minutes later he walks out in black jeans a hoodie.

I give him a slight smile. The door then opens and Jasmine walks in. "Oh my gosh, you poor thing, are you ok!"

"Chill Jasmine you sound like my mom" I said smiling at her. She ran over and hugged me tightly. "Ow not too tight!" She quickly pulls away and says "sorry"

"So when will you be able to come home?" She asked. I looked at her and said "about a week" she was about to say something when the door opened.

    Anthony walked in. "Hey guys" he said kinda shaky. Colby and Jasmine said "we'll let you guys talk" then left the room.

    "Sorry, if this is a bad time I can come back later?" He said about to walk out. "No your fine" I said playing with my thumbs.

      He walked over to me and gave me a slight smile. "Your the talk of the school" he said "wasn't I always the talk of the school" I responded not looking away from my hands.

      He didn't say anything so I broke the awkward silence. "Not that it was ever a bad thing, I actually kinda liked hearing the stories people told about me." He gave me a weird look.

      "Come on you've had to of heard at least on or two. From me being an emo, or the one where I'm practically insane and need mental help, what about the one where people said I was adopted from another plant."

       He rolls his eyes and says "I've never heard about the one where your adopted from another plant."

     "Really? I thought that one was the most popular one!" I said smiling. I pushed my hair out of my face. "So how did you know I was in the hospital?" I asked

     "Colby and Jasmine told me" he said. "They just can't keep their months shut" I say looking back down at my hands. "Why do you say that?" He ask.

      "Well I don't want to go back to school having everyone be nice to me just because I got in a little car crash." He jumps up from beside me and says "a little car crash?" I raise a brow and say "yeah"

      "Katie! You were not in a little car crash your lucky you survived!" I look up at him. I couldn't make out of facial expression. "What if I did die?" I asked.

       "Katie stop that's not funny" he says. "Seriously what if I did. Who would care enough to come to my funeral, or even have sympathy?" He looked kinda scared at this point.

     "Katie I mean it this isn't funny stop thinking like that!" I roll my eyes and say "what would you do?" He doesn't respond for a while. I could tell he was thinking.

     "I don't know Katie but your not dead so I don't have to worry about that!" I decide to just change the subject.

      "So what are people saying about me?" I smirked at him. "They are worried, they want to know your ok." I laughed a little because my ribs hurt. "They want to make sure I'm ok? This coming from the people who make up all these stories about me and call me names. I don't believe it"

    He rolled his eyes and said "Katie they really are worried about you" I didn't believe him but to make him feel better I went along with it.

    Anthony walk closer to me and pulled me in for a kiss. We pulled away when we the door open. Lucky it was the doctor and didn't see us, because he was looking down at his clipboard.

     "Ok Katie how are you feeling today?" He ask walking over to me. "My ribs hurt a little but other than that I'm fine." I say. "Good to know" he says writing onto his paper.

      "Maybe you'll be out of here in no time" he says before examining me. After a couple minutes he walks out. Anthony and I let out a sigh of relief.

      We both laugh a little after. A little bit later Anthony, Colby, and Jasmine had to leave. We all said our goodbyes and they left.

My dad with my that night instead of mom. I told him I would be fine but he's my dad so I couldn't change his mind.
