Ever since then luke stayed with jacey day and night, making sure she was okay. She would have her occasional breakdown but luke was always there.
"Can we go to the cliff today?" She asked him hopefully.
"Why?" Luke replied suspiciously, wondering if she was going to try and jump again.
"I miss it. I swear I won't do anything stupid this time, I just want to get outside." She groaned
"Okay, okay" luke agreed, helping her up.
Jasey and Luke walked hand in hand, eventually arriving at the cliff. Luke made his grip tighter, making sure she would try anything again.
"It's okay" she reassured him.
Luke nodded in response.
Jacey took another step, closing her eyes and inhaling the salty air. They took a seat on the cliff, far from the edge.
"You know I don't understand why you're helping me instead of yourself" she said looking into his pale eyes.
"I'm okay, not happy, not sad. I don't need any help. You need it more then me" he replied
"Yeah. Just Okay, someone like you shouldn't be 'just okay'. You deserve to be the happiest person alive.
"I am happy" he said giving her a cheesy smile.
"Yeah, me too" she said actually meaning it this time. Her near death experience made her realise how important luke was to her and how she never, ever wanted to leave him.

They talked and smoked for another hour, happy to be around eachother
"My entire life was a continuous cycle of convincing my self that I could survive and then convincing myself that I couldn't" Jasey said completely of topic to what they were talking about beforehand.
"And you're convinced that you can now?" Luke asked
"Yes, thanks to you" Jasey replied
"I'm very very glad you are alive Jasey rose, you are a the best thing that could've ever happened to me. And I will continue to try and help you up." Luke told her
"Thank you luke hemmings, I am also very very glad you are alive, you are the best thing that could've ever happened to me. And I hope you continue to stay with me. She replied

"Do you know what my psychiatrist said to me after a year of therapy?" Luke asked
"No, tell me luke. What did your psychiatrist say to you?" She said
"Maybe life isn't for everyone"

-half an hour later-
"Bye angel, I'll talk to you later" Luke said looking down at the broken girl in front of him. Her eyes had a bit more green in them compared to the first day they met and her hair had grew longer, almost reaching her waist. She had gotten skinnier and she looked more and more worn out as the days went on. She was a disaster, she was was broken. But to him she was absolutely perfect.
"Bye creep" she replied staring up at the boy in front of her. His eyes were still a pale blue, surrounded by red. His skin had turned pale and he had stopped styling his hair. He got drunk a lot more then he should and he constantly looked tired, as if he never slept. He was alright, slightly unhappy. But to her he was perfect.
