pulchritudinous

(adj.) breathtaking; heartbreaking beauty.

Recommended genre(s): romance, angst, fanfiction, drama.

Extra: when I saw this word I, of course, immediately thought of an an angsty story. The main character is a simple person who was a very good childhood friend of a celebrity. The celebrity (aka the second main character) disappeared from the main character's life without leaving any traces behind. After a few years he/she finds out his old childhood friend became a celebrity. The main character than desperately tries to get in touch with his/her friend because he/she wants an explanation for his sudden disappearance. Later on it then seems that the friend moved on and even had a girlfriend/boyfriend. The main character then learns that the celebrity was just something 'pulchritudinous' from the past (she/he was in love with their friend). I'm not saying it should end sad, but if anyone will ever write a story based on this he/she gets to decide the ending.
