"Do you have to leave?" Luke sighs, zipping up his suitcases.

"I don't really have a choice, Avery." He looks up at me, clearly annoyed. I finally snapped. I'm not going to deal with his attitude, anymore. He has been giving me attitude for the past 3 days.

"What happened to the Luke I met when I moved here? The sensitive, caring one. The one who knows how to control his anger? Because clearly, this-" I gesture to him. "Is not him." He stands up with his suitcase and looks at me.

"I grew up." He simply states, walking out of the room. I stood there, shocked. Luke has never spoken to me like that before. Ever since I met him, he's been caring and sensitive. He has never talked to anyone like that before. I stood up from his bed and walk downstairs, grabbing my stuff from the table. Walking out the front door, I spot the rest of the boys by the driveway, packing Ashton's car. They must have just arrived. I didn't bother saying bye, I just started walking home since I don't drive.

I got home, kicking off my shoes at the shoe rack. Walking into the kitchen, I decide to get something to eat. While in the middle of making a peanut butter and jam sandwich, my phone starts to vibrate, indicating I got a text.

Where did you go?

Why would he care? I just clicked reply.

I left.

I finished making my lunch and sat down on the couch, turning on the TV. I live alone, with my dog, Patches. He jumps up on the couch beside me, curling up in a ball. I put my now empty plate down on the table, grabbing the remote afterwards. Switching through the channels, I finally found my favourite show; Supernatural.

Patches whines at the back door, signaling he needs to go out. I stand up, walking over to the door leading to the backyard and open it. "There you go, little guy." He runs out and does his business. I left the door open and walked away, hearing the phone ringing.

"Hello?" I say, picking up the plate on the table and walking to the kitchen.

"Hey, it's Charlotte." I smile, putting the plate in the sink.

"Hey, Char. What's up?" I walk back into the living room, realizing Patches ran back in the house.

"Nothing. How's Luke?" She says, flirtatiously.

"Don't get me fucking started." I closed the back door and walk back to the couch, sitting down.

"Uh-oh, what happened? You guys have never fought before." I sighed.

"I know. I don't know what happened. I asked him what happened to the old Luke I met when I moved here. All he has been doing for the past 3 days was give me attitude. Want to know what his answer was?" I hear her shuffling. Probably moving the phone to the other ear.

"What?" She says.

"I grew up." I imitated his response, re-positioning myself on the couch.

"Are you serious? What an ass." She scoffs.

"Tell me about it. He walked out of the room to pack Ashton's car so, I just got up and left." I look at my cell, seeing I got a message from Luke. "Oh, look who just messaged me." I say, clicking on the message.

"What does he want now?" Charlotte says, sounding irritated.

"He's apologizing." I say, opening his message.

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you.

I roll my eyes, clicking reply. "Don't forgive him, Avery." I hear Charlotte say on the other line.
