Josuke x Reader: Love at First Sight

Chapter 4 (Josuke POV II)

--Josuke's POV from Chapter 3-- 

Ahh, another day of school. I wonder what's in store for today...

Josuke thought to himself as he walked with his friend, Koichi.

"I had a lot of fun hanging out with you and Okuyasu last night," Koichi said.

"Yeah, that was pretty great, huh~" Josuke laughed. "Remember when Okuyasu thought that lawn ornament of that owl was real?"

"Yeah, that was hilarious," Koichi smiled up at Josuke. Koichi then turned to notice the friend they were just discussing.

"Okuyasu!" he yelled, happily. He stopped, waiting for Okuyasu to reach them.

Okuyasu, huh?

Josuke turned to look at his best friend and greet him when he suddenly noticed the new girl approaching. He had looked her right in the eyes which sent a jolt of anxiety through his abdomen.

Tch, it's that new girl... great...

He pushed his hands into his pockets and forced himself to look away, feeling fairly annoyed that he couldn't avoid being around you.

I better just ignore her. I don't want Okuyasu to think I'm trying to get in on his action or anything. Maybe she won't even notice me or she'll think I'm some kind of  a jerk and leave me alone.

"Hi, my name is Koichi, what's your name?"

"My name is [F/N][L/N], nice to meet you~" the cute girl smiled at the boy.

Oh, she has such a pretty name, too...

Josuke continued to look away as he listened intently to every word the three of you said. You all talked about how you were in the same class and how you were a new student.

Suddenly, you asked, "You're Josuke, right? We didn't get a chance to greet one another yesterday. Nice to meet you!" Josuke almost jumped in shock when you greeted him. He could feel his nervousness begin to grow.

Don't look at her. Just keep it simple...

"Yeah, nice to meet you too." In the corner of his eye, he could see how cute you looked when you smiled at him. If he continued talking to you, he'd feel tempted to admire your beautiful face. Then he knew he'd fall for you! He winced at the thought. Feeling defeated, he turned toward the direction of the school and started walking.

You and Okuyasu followed behind.

"Anyway, Okuyasu, like I was saying... I bought some new hair product at the store here in town. It works great, so it really made my morning. The humidity has been making my hair a mess, hah~"

Hair product?! I noticed her hair looked really nice today... I wonder if it's the same product I use...

"I don't know much about hair myself. I'm sure you'd look great with or without it..." Okuyasu stated shyly.

Damn you, Okuyasu. Of course you don't know anything about hair product...

"What else did you buy at the store?" he asked.

"Well, these shoes I'm wearing were on sale. They compliment my outfit nicely."

Hell yeah, they do!! Those shoes were designer. When I first saw her approaching, her fashion sense was one of the first things I noticed. She looks so cute today!!~

Okuyasu peered down at the shoes. "Wow, they do look nice."

"Thank you."

Josuke bit his lip and continued trudging down the street.
