Summary; The longest ficlet yet. The return of 2/3rds of Okami's Divine Squad; this time, to handle an odd occurence at Tokyo Disneyland. Something that Japan has never seen before; and a few someones that it certainly has.
It's Epic Mickey crossed with Okami. What isn't there to love?

Kamiki Village was undisturbed as usual. Peace had reigned over the little country of Nippon for many years, now, and even the small village had turned into a modernized little town; it wasn't the most advanced, but technology had grown just enough. The Village continued to be one of the most respectful towards the Gods; especially after three encounters with them! The wolves of the Sun seemed to have a harmony with the place, always returning to save another day.

That is why Sakuya, who was usually so secure feeling, knew something was wrong; the minute a dark knot sat in her stomach, she left the safety of her tree to look at the tiny civilization, undisturbed and happy as ever.

"Something is wrong."

The feeling was mutual with a certain Sun Goddess, and judging by an approaching bright light and sparkling rainbow trail in the sky, she was on her way to fix things.

The Wood Sprite made haste to the sun deck, and waited there for Amaterasu to descend.

The wolf landed gracefully on the wood, trails of bright colour that streamed from her scruff dying out upon landing and leaving her with her traditional markings.

"Amaterasu, creator of all that is good and mother to us all..."

Get on with it.

The look in Amaterasu's eyes was clear, and Sakuya couldn't help a small smile.

"... Some form of evil is on the rise once more. I have not the ability to tell you what it is, but it comes from across the sea, in one of the capital cities. It is strong, and abnormal. Nature has wailed for aid there as long as I can remember, but I am afraid my roots have yet to grow out and I cannot protect that area. Whatever is happening there, O Great Amaterasu, you must make haste to find it at once, and stop it before it engulfs the rest of Japan."

Amaterasu nodded slightly, then turned to run down in the village, only pausing when Sakuya called her and looking over her shoulder to see a surprised look on her face.

"Amaterasu, where are you going?"

"... I'm taking the long way. I need to see a friend."

"Get your piece of the Great God Amaterasu! Perfectly accompanied with a scroll of the Sun's Son, Chibiterasu! No home should be without one! Get 'em quick before they're gone! Pray to them every morning for good luck! Carry them in your coin purse and watch your wealth increase! Get some for your friends!"

You'd think Issun would run out of breath, eventually, and you'd be wrong. For such a little guy, the perverted Envoy had quite the lung capacity, and nobody seemed to notice that the "human being" selling the prints of the Gods was actually a well-crafted dummy painted to look human. At least the prints had been selling like hot cakes in this big city, and he was confident that faith was booming for Ammy and Chibi - and the other Gods too, of course.

Though, the sun was going down, and most of the city's patrons were going home by now.

"Ah, well. Time to close up shop."

A few contraptions later, the artwork was hidden away and the cart's door was closed, and Issun settled comfortably on the ledge where his merchandise had previously sat to enjoy the dying sunlight.

"This is the life."

He smiled and relaxed until he heard scratching at the door to his cart. He responded to it with a grumble.
