|JACI|
I had no idea what to do. My parents and the classes when I was little never told you what to do when your mate rejects you. They didn’t tell you what to do when you mate had just denied your total existence and then continued to kiss another girl.
Was I supposed to go over and stop them from kissing? Was I supposed to suck it up because this sometimes just happens? Your mate can’t find all his necessities in you so he needs another women. Was I supposed to go running to my brother and have him fix my problems and knock some sense into Terrence? Was I supposed to-
“Hey Jaci! Why’d you leave without me? I would have drove you.” My brothers voice came up from behind me.
I spun quickly to look at my brother and opened my mouth but nothing came out. I couldn’t tell Jay about Terrence ripping my heart out because then I’m nearly one hundred percent sure he would kill Terrence with his bare hands and I couldn’t have that.
In that instant I knew I couldn’t say anything to anyone. I would simply talk to Terrence to get this thing all cleared up. Then there would be no reason to talk to anyone.
Jay stared at me waiting for an answer but then Terrence and the girl walked over, the girl under Terrences arm.
‘Where we should be.’ Deweth spat.
I agreed fully. We should be snuggled under his side taking in his heavenly smell of Old Spice. It should be us fiddling with the figures of his hand that hung off her shoulder. It just should be us.
“What’s up man? I haven’t heard or seen from you since the party. You didn’t even stop by before you left. What happened to you?” Jay interrogated.
I didn’t want to be here to hear whatever lie he cooked up. I mean maybe now that he knew I was here and Jay was here he would be truthful.
My wolf yipped at that, but I tried to get her not to get her hopes up.
“I got distracted.” He said, a quick—barely noticeable glance in my direction.
I guess it was better than nothing but my wolf wasn’t happy with it.
“Then he came to my place and we had a party of our own.” The girl said looking lustfully at Terrence.
My arms stopped working and out fell my binder and books.
“S-sorry.” I said quickly getting down to gather my stuff taking advantage of this to suck up my tears threatening to fall.
All I could hear was the girls’ words in my mind. ‘Party of our own.’ After having sex with me he went to other woman's house and had sex with her like it was nothing. Like what we had shared was absolutely nothing. While I laid in my room, happily asleep in the bed where I thought my happily ever after would start, he left me.
Sure when I woke up he wasn’t there but I thought he had stayed most of the night. I thought he cradled me in his arms and cherished me, like I him.
‘How was it so bad that he was rejecting me?’ That was the main thought coursing through my head. I thought it was mind blowing and earth shattering.
Great I couldn’t even tell when a man enjoys himself.
Tears clouded my view and nearly tipped over my eyelid onto my cheek.
“You!” My brother yelled, and for a second I thought it was at Terrence. “Help my sister clean these up. Jac, I gotta go I’ll see you after class.” Jay said before ruffling my hair like I was a child.
