|JACI|
My heart was racing—no pounding in anticipation.
“Jac...” He whispered seductively, soft lips like a feather against my ear.
Shivers crawled across my skin as I arced towards the voice of my mate. My body was aching and my heart was yearning for him.
“You are my world and always will be...” The familiar voice spoke.
Turning me in his arms I went to look up and see my beautiful mates face once and fo-
“Ms. Ward!?” The person demanded.
The fogginess of my sleep clouded my head with confusion to where I was and why, but then it all crashed into me.
“I-er-”
“See me after class.” My history teacher said before carrying on his lesson about the Italian Renaissance artists such de Vinci and Michelangelo.
Being a freshman, getting into high school isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
I sighed in dismay. This was actually one of my favorite classes or at least for now anyways. I loved learning about historical artists because I wanted to be an artist myself.
The bell chimed dismissing us from our seats to our next class. “Alright. Read pages 117-123 and answer questions 1-5 on page 123. It’s due on Monday!”
The chairs shuffled and ached against the ground as students went to leave the room.
“What is going on Jacinda?” My teacher asked, sitting on the edge of his tan metal desk.
“It’s just that at home are a little tense, and yeah,” I drowned off not knowing much else to say. “My mom is on business trips on and off, my dad’s doing the best he can and Jay...”
“Alright, alright. You need to get going to class. Don’t fall asleep in my class again and Jacinda?” He called as I started towards the door.
I turned and asked, “Yes?”
He smiled brightly at me, “Don’t forget the homework.”
I gave a small smile and whispered a thank you before shooting out into the already crowded hallway. Heading towards my locker I saw my big brother, Jaycen, and his best friend, as well as beta, Terrence.
Jay was leaning on both of his arms, pinning a girl to my locker.
I came and stood beside the two and glared at them till they noticed me.
“Do you have a problem bitch?” The blonde who broke away from my brothers slobber, spat.
“I-”
Before I got a word in she growled. “Nobody cares. Now go along with your so fucking lonely day and just know that this is all the action you are ever going to get.”
I went to object again, “But I-”
“Listen here, don’t you fucking dare talk to my sister that way! Now get out of my face!” My brother yelled out letting his wraith power over her.
“B-but-” Her lips trembled in fear of his alpha voice.
“Leave.” Jay spat.
She rushed off running down the hall embarrassment radiating from her.
“You didn’t need to be that rude to her Jay!” I cried hating the thought of someone get hurt over me.
“Well I wasn’t about to let some blonde bitch talk down to my sister like that,” Jaycen said very annoyed.
