“A young lady told me the other day I need to learn to understand and cope with change. Don’t mistaken my gray headedness for weakness now, I been walking on this earth for 92 years now and each and every gray strand defines me, honey. I don’t know change, I don’t know change. Huh! You must be crazy. I don’ seen more things then you could ever imagine. I was here when society was based on skin color, shoot I was even here during World War II. People go around complaining about how difficult life is, and how their faced with so many difficult decisions when really the only hardest decision they had to make all day was choosing which flavor soup they should chow down on. Whatever happened to people with real problems? Now I’m not saying they don’t exist their everywhere; maybe even the person sitting next to you, right now. People are going through difficulties as we speak and the question we should be asking ourselves is “What can we do about it? What can we do to change the world we live in?” Now going back to what I said earlier about the young lady telling me to understand and cope with change my response was I AM CHANGE!! You are change!! We are change!!!”
