chapter VI
Narrator's P.O.V
sun rays dawning on the barley, the warm light covering the bodies of two beings neatly fit together like a puzzle, ushering them with a gentle care as if in a motherly affection of empathy towards their trades of unspoken love as frames layed still splayed one over the other, strong steady vice-like grip around your much frailer one, in fear someone would take you away from him sometime soon, or the pure realization that this could have been a dream and not the sweet reality.
unconsciously leaning against his hold, head dipped against a bare and much larger rib cage, face hidden within its shadow not wishing to see the sunshine greet them so soon and usher herself to daily, tiresome routines and schedules, as a displeased sigh broke out from her throat; much likewise response as the male flushed himself closer against your own body, face avoiding the brink of the sunlight, and nose dipping onto the sweet fragrance of hair strands below his chin.
if only I could be like this forever ....laying atop the fluffy grass with you ...
However, and much to your disappointment the sun was stubborn and intended to break you out of your sleep like state, rays peeking between small openings between the closeness of both of your bodies, earning a slim groan from your part as you shut open your (e/c) orbs, slowly but surely.
cheeks immediately turned crimson colored upon its sight because lo and behold: there played the girl in love in the arms of the one she wanted for a lifetime, lips agape still in bewilderment at the realization that this wasn't a dream at all.
Oh right...he ...cuddled up to me to keep me warm.
It was just that...nothing else...nothing...romantic about this part... it was out of kindness...
what she failed to realize was that it was not out of mercy or kindness at all but pure love and the wish to meet his skin with hers, usher sweet words into her sleep, and caringly rubbing his thumb against her back in a much relaxing demeanor...
this feels like heaven on earth and i don't want it to end...
Trying to prop yourself out of his grasp would be difficult and if you were frank you did not want to, even if the quickened pace of your heart and the shivers sent down your spine upon the sight of his toned, muscular chest at your front as well as the fact he was trying to conceal his face onto your hair, and the desperate tightness he inflicted with his hold on your form, waking him up in the process would not be something you'd want to accomplished there was no motivation to exit this safe haven—
a loud (yet cute) yawn interrupts your thoughts and you're met with the gaze of the raven-haired man, glancing down upon your frame as he pulls himself away from your form, not willing to make you uncomfortable and give you space... even if you wished the contrary...
".....good morning.... heck, I'm hungry.... you slept well,...?"
a shortly lived grumble below in the pits of the cave of the 'monster' and it did confirm his previous statement, as you let out a chuckle - how could he manage to be that famished so early in the morning you could not fathom nor even how much he ate and how much it would fit in that body of his considering the enormous portions he consumed.
" yeah but...we should have something for breakfast then..."
Although...what time was it even? you did not have a way to know but all you knew was that the rays were still weak enough to be near lunchtime any soon. well at least, warmth-wise ...the temperature was not high enough to penetrate onto your skin and burn you.
