Kamri's POV
"Because, her father is you." I said as I turned around.
"What?!?" He asked as he turned and walked towards me.
"Rykella....Ry.....Rik....Rike...Riker. Make sense?" I asked as I looked down.
"You named her after me?" He asked as his eyes filled with tears as he walked closer to me.
"Yeh." I said as I looked down.
"And, you kept the R." He said as his voice cracked.
"Of course I did. She has your kind heart too." I said smiling still looking down.
"Does she know?" He asked as he tilted my head up to look at him.
"No. But, her father's supposed to come to her birthday party, which is the on the 9th." I said softly.
"I'll be there." He said as he pecked my lips.
"Oh, your water's boiling." Riker said as went to the pot and poured in the box of elbow pasta then, threw away the box.
I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist along with a chin on my shoulder. Riker moved closer as I felt his hot breath on my neck.
"I missed you so much. I was an idiot to let go of the love of my life. I for sure and, God will be my witness to never do it again." He whispered softly into my ear.
I turned around and put my arms around his neck. I tilted my head and looked into his eyes.
"Did you just call me---- I was going to say but he had cut me off. "Yes, I called you the love of my life." He whispered and then pulled me into another tight hug.
"Mom, could you help me with--- Woah, mom!" Rykella said giggling as me and Riker pulled away from our hug and walked over to the sink and leaned against it looking at his daughter.
"What did you need help with Ella?" I asked as I got out the strainer and put it in the sink.
"I need help with my math homework, stupid Mrs. Grouchy gave us something she didn't teach us," Rykella said.
"First off, Rykella Mary Lyn- I mean McClain language. Second, what's the topic?" I asked as Riker chuckled at the Lynch part.
"Graphing x and y's " She said.
"Wait, what grade are you in?" Riker butt in.
"5th grade." She replied.
"Are you kidding me? She shouldn't be giving you that. That's 9th grade level work. Here let me help you. Your mother isn't good at that stuff, trust me I know that." Riker said as me and him chuckled.
"Hey!" I said and smacked his arm and laughed.
"How long have you two known each other?" Rykella asked.
"Rykella go finish your homework dinner is almost ready.:" I said as she and Riker went to the table to work on the math homework.
