Riker's POV
Rykella and I walked to the dining room and sat down as I taught her how to do her homework.
"So this is the x and this is the y. The x line is the one that goes across from left to right. The y line is the line that goes down the page, in other words up and down. So you see those numbers In the X column?" I asked her pointing to it.
"Yes." She said as she looked at it.
"Plot those numbers on the x line. For an example -2 will go on the -2 spot so you put a dot/circle there." I said as I took her pencil and marked it.
"Okay. Sounds easy enough." She said as she took her pencil back and plotted the numbers on the graph.
"Okay. Done. Do I do the same for Y on the Y line?" She asked as she looked at me with her beautiful hazel brown eyes that shined in the light.
"Yes. Let me know when you're done and I'll show you what to do next." I said as I tried to hide my tears.
"Are you okay Riker?" She asked as she set her pencil down.
"Yeah, I'm fine I just need my glasses. My contacts are bothering me." I said as I took out my contacts and took my glasses out and put them on.
"Better." I said and smiled "So you finished?" I asked her.
"Oh yeah." She said and smiled.
"Okay, so what you're going to make the points meet. So from Y1 and X1, you are going to meet them. For example -2 x is going to go up 5 and plot your point there. " I said as I plotted it.
"So -1 x goes up 4 on the y line correct?" She asked as she turned to me.
"Correct. You think you got it from here?" I asked her and smiled.
"Yes. Thanks, Dad." She said and hugged me.
"Huh?" I asked her as I pulled away from the hug.
"Um. Sorry. I just never had some one that was a boy and helped me. Forget I said anything." She rambled. I smiled and nodded noticing where her rambling came from.
"Dinner's ready." Kamri said as she brought out three plates of mac n cheese and set them in front of us.
"Thanks, Mom!" Rykella said as she moved her homework aside and picked up her spoon.
"No problem sweetheart." Kamri said as she sat on the other side of Rykella across from me.
"Thanks, Kam." I said as I began to eat.
"No problem, Rik." She said and began to eat hers.
"Mom. Can Riker come to my birthday party?" Rykella asked Kamri.
"Um. Sure." She said and continued to eat.
"I would love to go. But, I have to go to my daughter's party." I said as I winked at Kamri.
"Oh. Okay. If you change your mind you're still invited." Rykella said as she ate the last bite on her plate.
"Rykella put your plate in the sink and go upstairs and get ready for bed please, and thank you." Kamri said as she smiled at her.
"Yes, mom. Thanks, Riker for the help." Rykella said as she hugged me and then did what her mother told her to do.
"Why'd you tell her to go upstairs?" I asked as I picked up my dish and Kamri's.
"Because." Kamri said as she followed me to the kitchen where I put the dishes in the sink.
