"Hey man, can I talk to you for a second?" Ken asked me this question as I downed my seventh shot. Needless to say I was drunk as all balls.
"Y-*hic*-yeh?" I ask, sitting up and falling back down.
"Well, I need a favor, Felix."
I nod and Ken continues.
"Well I lost my job and I can't afford to-"
I cut him off and nod my head drunkenly and say, "Wanna make a bet?"
He looks at me and I can see his curiosity peaking.
"You bea' meh 'na game of 'Super Smash Bros.', and I'll do ya yer favor. You lose an' you owe meh a grand."
He smiles and accepts the challenge.

Jack's PoV:

Felix comes in looking like shit and I laugh, tail twitching as I finish up our breakfast.
"So, how was the night out with Ken, then?"
He shoots me the bird and grabs some painkillers, sitting down at the table.
He laughs awkwardly and I cringe, ears flicking downwards.
"Oh, no, Felix, what did you do?"
He looks at me sheepishly and I groan, it must be something bad.
"Well, funny story..."
I look at him and he ducks his head, not meeting my gaze, and continues,
" While I was really drunk, um...Ken asked me a favor. And then we made a bet."
"And you lost, is that it?" I ask, he nods and I say, " what was the favor?"
Felix looks up at me and sighs.
"Well, Ken has an inu named Mark, and the favor was that I would-"
"Let the dog stay here, right? That's fine. How long?"
"Um, no. The favor was for me to adopt Mark. Im really sorry."
I stare at him before throwing his breakfast in the trash, "Nooooooo!!!!!" Felix shouts, and I take my breakfast into my room. I sit on the bed and let the information sink in. Once all the panicking was over, and my breathing slowed, I composed myself and went back out into the kitchen, where Felix was starting to make some, since I threw away his omelet. I push him aside, seeing as he's somehow burnt the eggs, and he sits down. I start another omelet, and ask, "when will Mark be coming over, then?"
"In five hours. There was no reason to wait."
"Oh, well. We'll have to spiff up quickly then."
His eyes get wide and he gets up.
"Ive got um something to do I'll be back later-"
I grab him by the ear and sit him back down, putting the eggs in front of him.
"This is your fault and your going to help me clean this house or I won't cook anything for you for a full year!" I say sternly, he flinches and scarfs down the omelet.
"Alright," I say, "we have work to do."

Mark's PoV:

"Master, why did you do this? Why can't I just stay with you?" I ask him confusedly as we drive to my new owner's house.
"Well, Mark, I would love to keep you, but I'm moving, and I can't take you with me. This is for the best, you'll see. I'll visit, I promise. Mark, I need you to behave."
I look at him, ears curved downwards, and nodded.
"Yes, Ken. Why do you keep saying that?"
He looks at me, "there is a neko named Jack that lives with Felix, your new owner."
"WHAT!?!?!?!" I shout, cringing as I remember electric currents going through my neck.
"You'll be fine, he's a nice neko. He's nothing like Ethan, I promise."
"O-okay. I'll try" I say determinedly.
"Attaboy!" he says, rubbing my head in between my ears.

(timeskip)

"Whoa," I say as we pull up to the house. It's humongous!
We get out of the car and walk up to the front door.
"Ready?" Ken asks, and I take a deep breath before nodding.
Knock

Knock

Knock.
Ken knocks on the door and a blond man with chiseled features opens the door. He grins and holds out his hand, I take it and shake it firmly.
"Felix."

"M-mark."
Felix steps aside and we walk in, the place is very clean. I wonder if they cleaned it just for me and Ken coming over. That would be so nice.
Felix interupts my thoughts by saying, "I asked Jack to go to his room and wait for when you were ready to meet him. Is it okay if he comes out now?"
I take another shaky breath and nod a yes. He smiles and leaves for a second. He comes back with a small man hiding behind him.
"Come on, Jack, meet Mark."
Felix says and pushes the neko forwards. Jack steps forward, and Mark has to make a comsiderable effort not to cower in fear. Jack holds out a hand, and Mark takes it.
"Nice hair." Jack said in a high-pitched voice, indicating my red hair, ears, and tail.
"Thanks." I say, and that's when I smell it. Good god, what is that heavenly smell?
I start to sniff, but Ken nudges me and I stop.
'There'll be a time for that later.' I think to myself.
"Thank you so much for adopting me. I promise I'll try not to be a bother."
They both nod and Jack says, "follow me, your room's over here."
I stare at him, and he looks back at me, confusion igniting in his eyes.
"Is something wrong?"
I shake my head slowly, remembering my comfy dog bed that had sat in the front room.
"I get my own room?"
Jack looks at me with surprise, "Of course! Havent you had your own room before?"
I shake my head and Jack's eyes go from displaying surprise to shock and alarm.
"You've never had your own room?!"
I shake my head and he sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Ken, I blame you." Jack says, then he walks off, and I follow him.
"Okay, so this is your room" he tells me, pushing a door open.
"I don't know what kind of bed you prefer so I just put a dog bed in here. If you want we can get you a human bed. Mark? Hey, are you okay?"
I probably would have responded, but I had heard none of the conversation. And this is because the room is amazing.
The walls are a nice tan color with white bones painted on here or there, and there are buckets full of dog toys. And to top it all off, there was a giant dog bed, one of the ones with a set-in mini-mattress at the bottom, at least big enough for me to lay in straight and not have to curl up to fit.
"MARK!!"
I'm snapped out of my thoughts as Jack screams out my name. Oh, right.
"S-sorry. I...um...could you repeat what you said, please?"
He nods.
"Yeah, is there anything you need?"
I shake my head, and then...it hits me again. That smell.
I take deep breaths, drawing the scent into my nostrils. I take a few steps to the right and come face to face with Jack.

Why...

Why does he smell like that?

I look him in the eyes.
"It's you." I say, answering his questioning look.
"What's me?"
"Your the source of that smell. It's so sweet...why do you smell like that?"
He blushes, then walks out ubruptly. I sigh and sit in the dog bed and-
OH MY FUCK IT'S SO COMFORTABLE WAT!?!?!?!
Why would they-wait...how did they set up this room before I got here? With what I've gathered from Ken, they only knew I was coming this morning. So how did they know to set all this up with just a five hour's notice? Or...

Was this already here?

AN:
I'M BACK BITCHES!!!
