My eyes flutter open to the sunlight peeking in through my window sill. I swing my legs out from under my light grey sheets. placing my bare feet on the cold wooden floor. I then proceed to make my way to my large armor. Pulling out a light grey knitted sweater with a black embroidered heart and tight black leggings.
I quickly get dressed and slip on my grey converse tying my once white laces that now could pass off us as brown, and heading down the carpeted staircase. Trailing my hands across the pale blue walls. when I finally reach The bottom of the steps My nose is filled with the scent of the pancakes.I find my mom in the kitchen,
"morning" I say my lips curling into a smile.
"Morning Cecilia "she replies grabbing her purse ."Leaving already?" I question,
"Yeah my boss wants me at the office as soon as possible says he has something to tell me." My mother replies nervously,
"don't sound so worried I'm sure you will be perfectly fine mom" I sincerely tell her. My mom had work there for four years and was a very hard worker she has absolutely no reason to worry even if the situation was a little weird.
"your right" mom says with a chuckle.
"what's so funny?" I ask clearly confused
"You know usually it's the mother telling her daughter everything will be okay not the other way around" my mom replies
continuing to laugh, and I can't help but join in. After a good moment of laughter my mom heads off to work, and I take a seat at a wooden stool. Taking a bite of the steaming pancakes savoring the warm almond flavor and, then quickly eating the rest. Then grabbing my denim bag I make my way outside the cool autumn breeze hitting my pale skin sending a shiver throughout my body. As I stand at the end of the street waiting for the bus a large gust Of wind whisks my dark chocolate brown hair into the air.
The big yellow bus then pulls up to my driveway and, I climb up the dirt covered steps. Finding a seat up in the front I stare out the window watching as the luscious green trees and, fancy houses pass by in flashes.
After a couple of stops the bus parks in back of the school and, kids pile off the bus. I squeeze in the row of kids making my way off the bus along with the others and, Into the hallway crowd I swivel through the groups of kids finding my locker. I spin the lock to zero with a swift flick of my wrist, and then turning it to each number in my combination. I pull it open with a quick Jerk or my wrist.
I then make my way to homeroom blocking out the hallway chatter and gossip. I take a seat by my best friend Liv short for Olivia
"hey Cece" she says facial features screaming excitement.
"okay what is it?" I say placing my bag down onto the ground next to the wooden desk at this point my best friend practically looks like she is going to explode with excitement.
"I heard from my sister who heard from her friend who heard from her friend who heard...." she begins rambling on before I quickly interrupt.
" Please get to the point"I say she frowns as if I ruined her fun Before continuing to the point.
"You know that really hot senior?"she questions excitement brewing on her face once again."Sure" I say holding out the e-r, she gives me a be serious look which almost makes me burst out laughing because talking about hot senior boys is obviously such a serious matter I think sarcastically.
"Anyways the rumor is he thinks your hot!" She whisper squeals.
"yeah okay that's probably about as true as unicorns being real." I reply honestly.
"gasp you don't believe in unicorns?" she says dramatically, and I just roll my eyes at her. she tries to reply, but is quickly interrupted by our math teacher Ms. Collins entering and beginning class. I send a smirk in her direction and she just glares at me and, then we both move our focus to taking notes as Ms. Collins explains a lengthy boring math problem on the white board.
