Chapter #1

Daniel woke up with a suffocating feeling, like his chest was squeezed tightly.

He opened his eyes to meet the white ceilings above him and he quickly sat up to check his surroundings. With the white sheets of the bed he's lying on, the green curtains around him and the milky cream coloured walls, he assumed he's in a hospi-

*school bell rings*

'Oh, I'm in school which means I'm in the nurse's office'. He thought, but then he's confused,  why was he sent to the nurse's office?

The curtain shifts and draws revealing a beautiful woman wearing a long white coat but as beautiful as she is, Daniel is somehow uninterested. He sometimes questions his sexuality since from what he could recall, he was never attracted to anyone regardless of their gender.

"You're awake, good" She smiled before sitting down onto the stool right next to the bed.

"So... Kang Daniel. You're a new student and you fainted on your first day of school. Do you remember anything?" She asked as she held a pen and a mini notebook, ready to jot down notes.

"I... don't... but I do remember eating lunch with my new classmates and..." Daniel felt a slight pain in his head as he tries to recall the reason he collapsed.

"According to your friends, you suddenly looked scared as if you saw... ummm... a ghost" she furrowed her eyebrows as she reads the notes she jot down a while ago and took a short glimpse at Daniel's face. "And you fell down your seat, hit the back of your head onto the floor as you passed out"

"Oh, I see"

"Your body temperature is quite high and you looked pale so I need you to go home early. Your things are all here, thanks to your friends. Do you need me to call anyone to pick you up?"

"I... live alone"

Daniel tried to get down from the bed but losing his balance immediately, landing on his knees with one of his hand supporting him by holding onto the frame of the bed. For some reason, he felt very exhausted.

"Are you okay?" The woman asks as she helps him stand which is quite hard considering their height difference.

"Why are you so tall?" She complains.

"I'm sorry..." Daniel took a look at the woman's nametag. "... Dr. Kwon"

"No need to be sorry and just call me noona. Boah noona, I'm still young, you know"

"Alright... umm... Bo-ah noona"

"There's no need to be awkward. All of the boys here called me that" Dr. Kwon helps Daniel to sit on the bed before she brings him a glass of plain water.

"Since no one's gonna pick you up, let me do the honor of sending you back home. Where do you live?" She asks as she stood up, grabbing her jacket and car keys.

"It's okay... noona. My apartment is just a few blocks away from school"

"All the better" By this time, she already wore her jacket, getting ready to leave the room.

"But what about the nurse's room? Who's gonna take care of it?"

"The student council can help me with that and besides, school is almost over"

"But I..."

"Can you stand up? Want me to help you?"

The brown-haired boy stood up slowly, regaining his balance as he took small steps to the front.

"I think I can"

"Good" The doctor was about to lift up Daniel's bag but he quickly took it before she could took hold on it.
