Chapter #8

Flashback

A boy around the age of six years old, enters the playground while holding his mother's hand. He looks around the unfamiliar place and faces as the other kids that were playing there, stare at them. Then, the mother kneels down next to the boy, face him and said.

"Stay here, Mommy's gonna talk to the lady inside" Pointing towards a nearby window of a building where a young lady was seen staring at the both of them. "Okay, Longguo?"

Longguo nods before watching his mother left him, entering the said building. The boy looks around again, staring at all the kids playing the slides and the swings, and he just doesn't know what to do. He thought he would just follow his mother inside but stop midway when he saw a cat sleeping by the side of the building. He approaches the cat and crouch next to it before petting it's fur.

The cat opens its eyes and slowly waking up. After stretching its body, the cat purrs and rubs its body against the young boy's legs, asking to be pet more. Longguo smiled before continuing to pet the soft fur when he heard someone giggled behind him. He turns to see another boy, maybe around his age, laughing while watching him with the cat.

"She likes you" The boy said. The cat then suddenly proceeds towards the new visitor and the kid grabs the cat and starts giving smooches onto the cat's face.

"But she likes me more!" The boy said excitedly and Longguo can't stop smiling.

"What's your name? I've never seen you before" The stuffed-cheeks boy asked while playing with the cat's belly. Longguo tilts his head to the side, making a confused face.

"I don't understand" He asked and the other boy tilts his head too.

"What are you saying?" The both of them stared at each other for a long time before the lady that was inside the building earlier appeared behind them.

"He's Chinese. He's from another country"

"Owh..." The other boy nods and quickly turns towards Longguo with sparkling eyes. The woman then smiled towards the Chinese boy before picking him up and whispers to his ears.

"Welcome to the family, Jin Longguo" And Longguo could see, thanks to the position his currently in, the car he rode with his mother earlier, leaving the scene.

9 years later 

"Euigeon-ah! Euigeon-ah!" A fox-faced boy came running behind the building, approaching Daniel who seemed to be crouching down, watching a cat eating.

"What is it, Longguo?" he sound annoyed.

"Call me Yongguk!" Yongguk said before sitting down onto a nearby table, dangling his legs.

"And call me Daniel! What is it? I'm feeding Peter, right now"

"Rooney just gave birth!" Yongguk flashes his phone towards Daniel revealing a cat and her 3 babies, inside a box that they kept beside the orphanage kitchen.

"He's a girl!?" Exclaims Daniel, surprised.

"Correction. SHE'S a girl!"

"So who's the father? Peter?" Daniel said while eyeing on the cat in front of him.

"Umm... Peter is a girl too"

"What!?" Daniel stood up while horrifyingly looking at the Peter.
