At just the age of seven, naive Aaliyah was diagnosed with insomnia.
She would never rest, her fragile body was weak and it couldn't handle this.
Sleeping pills made her doze off but depression made her rest even more.
Is it even possible for a seven year old to suffer from depression?
You'd be surprised by how many times her mother has caught her before leaping off that ledge.
But that's just something the Fujimoto's don't dare to converse about.
"Mama? I'm sorry I tried to jump off, the voices were telling me otherwise," her mother sobbed, holding onto the seven year old for what looked like dear life.
"I-it's okay sweetheart, I know it's not your fault," she simply smiled with broken hiccups in between.
"I just want to be like all the other kids," Aaliyah pouted as the green caterpillar tickled her skin.
