Math and science
Are important to some degree
But the best lessons
Are ones my teacher doesn't even remember teaching me.

I've been taught to swallow my thoughts,
To lock my mind away and throw away the key,
To condemn my mind from spilling out of sorry sorrows and empty words of guilt.
I've been taught to hold my tongue
To spit out those nasty thoughts that weren't ladylike enough.
Speak when spoken to and keep your head down when you walk take small steps don't be confident and cut your own creativity short.
To never smile because then you're fake.
To never laugh too loud because then you're obnoxious.
Don't speak with confidence or else your cocky.
Be attractive, wait, not too attractive otherwise you're a slut.
Don't show others you're sad otherwise you're an attention seeker.
Here are the best lessons I was taught
Unrealistic.

Until you remember our society and realise it's not so.
