CH1- Meet My Friends

1st june

"The person you are trying to reach is unable to take your call."

Before I could redial for the tenth time I got a name flashing on my phone's screen. It was the incoming call from CLARA. She is my neighbor and my friend since 9th standard.

"Hello," I answered.

" To whom were you talking to just now?"A loud voice busted on me. "I was constantly calling you and the only reply I got was the person you are trying to call is busy"

"Sorry for that" I tried to calm her down. "I was trying to call Rex. He is not answering"

"Come on Savya. He is not answering it means he is busy" It was clear from her voice that she was angry.

"How could he be busy all the time. It's been almost a month now. He hasn't called nor has he replied to any of my messages. No one knows where he is. I am just worried." I knew that something was going on with Rex. He was my friend from Eastdoon city. We studied there in the same tuition.

"Savya, you tried your best to reach him. Now, if he wants to talk to you, he will reach you. You should now just focus on your life" She reassured me.

I know the thing she said was right but don't know why my heart was not accepting her words. " What if he is in trouble and needs me. And I am just sitting here waiting for him to reach me."

"You are just over thinking. He is not at all In trouble. He is just ignoring you. It's time you should accept that." She angrily said.

"He has no reason to ignore me. I know him. He can't ignore me and you know this very well" I tried to prove her wrong. "He can't even think to ignore me. He is just..Ahh! I don't know why he just disappeared"

"Hey, listen to me. I know you are attached to him and you two were.... Ok, leave it. First, dress up, we are going to Adwin's house" Clara and Adwin both were my school friends.

"But why?" I questioned.

"I want you to get some fresh air and I don't want any excuse. Get ready in fifteen minutes. Am hanging up now." she knew I was going to say no. So she left me with no other option.

"But.." I moved the phone away from my ear and saw the screen. Soon realized she hung up. I had no choice but to get ready and wait for her.

"Hey, I have something to show you all. Here's the new dance video. It's really awesome" Adwin made others excited for that video except me. We were at Adwin's house with some more school friends.

"Savya, now don't act like this." Clara saw my disinterested in that video. "I need you to be active, to have fun"

She forced me to see that video. As soon as I saw that. I was amazed. My eyes widened. I could hardly believe what I saw there. The only word slipped out my mouth was Rex.

Everyone was shocked. Well, they should be. After all, how could Rex be there? Especially in a dance video. But I was not in a condition to think for a second. I was too busy to examine the video.

" Is he Rex?" I asked.

They all stared at me as if they were ready to kill me in the next move. The look they had was terrifying. Thank God Clara broke the deadly silence. "How in the world you think he looks like Rex. Savya, you really need to end this Finding Rex thing."

"Who is this Rex?" Adwin was puzzled as to what was going on there. He was the only one who was unaware of my life events since one year.

It's been one year since we passed our high school. Everyone was scattered. They all went to study in colleges and to prepare for entrance exams. I was from those who were preparing for entrance exams. I was attending tuition in Eastdoon city which was almost six hours away from my hometown Hessville.
