__________

Jimin sits huddled up in the corner, hands around knees, head lowered. Choked sobs rack his small frame as tears flow from his closed eyes, drip from his face onto his clothes. He tries to keep quiet, but he can't help it. Why should he keep quiet, anyway? It's not-- it's not like Jungkook is here anymore; the small studio apartment that used to be so homely, so welcoming, is now nearly empty, save for Jimin's meager possessions and the walls--

The orange haired man makes the mistake of looking up, and sees the blurred outlines of bright, colorful framed pictures and paintings that Jungkook was so proud of photographing and painting, through his tears.

This only causes Jimin to cry harder, for choked sobs to turn into the haunting, piercing wails of a heart that has been completely and utterly shattered.

He wishes he could turn back time, to never let the events of last night happen. He wishes he had never developed feelings for the younger man.

Jimin had not have high expectations for how the confession would go, but he had not expected the younger to react the way he did. He had not expected Jungkook to reject him so harshly tears had welled up in his eyes, threatening to spill out. He had not expected one thing to lead to another until both men were screaming at each other.

He had not expected Jungkook to walk out, for the younger to just pack up his things and leave. The only things Jungkook did not take were the things hanging on the walls.

A reminder that he had once lived there, made it his home.

Why, oh why, Jimin thinks to himself, did he have to tell Jungkook his feelings for him when he had known they were not mutual?

'Stupidstupidstupidstupid' he berates himself.

Jimin screams, wails into the emptiness that now surrounds him, the emptiness that is consuming the shattered pieces of his heart.

Everything,

Gone.

---

It has been one month.

One month without Jungkook.

One month of emptiness.

Over the first two weeks following Jungkook's departure, Jimin had desperately tried to contact the younger. He called him and texted him, but to no avail. Called his friends, same outcome. Jungkook's friends, of course.

(The last time Jimin had a friend he trusted was back when he was still young and innocent in this world. This cruel, cruel world.)

If anyone knew about Jungkook's whereabouts and well-being, they kept it from Jimin.

After the thirteenth day, he gave up. If Jungkook doesn't want him to know where he is, then he can't help it. He doesn't want to force anything out of the younger.
