"Shit!" Joey looked at her phone as the final snooze began to go off on her Galaxy Note 7. 6:55am. Stupid phone, she thought to herself as she rolled out of her California King Bed. If I had the new Galaxy S8 like I started to get I would've heard the alarm, she said aloud to no one in particular.

Joey began to stare at herself in the 6ft mirror that stood on the side of the bed. She loved looking at herself when she first woke up. It was a habit that she definitely to break since she was always late everywhere. The extra time would would be useful but Fuck it, I'm already late,was her life.

She didnt think she was the prettiest girl girl in the world or even the prettiest in the room sometimes, but she knew she was beautiful.

Joey was the split image of her moms sister Jerniya who passed away when Joey was only 7 yrs old. 5'2" almond brown skin, slim thick shape, not to little, not big at all. She had two beauty marks right below her right eye and a slight dimple in her left cheek that only showrushing. was super excited or super happy.

"Shit!" Joey yelled aloud again. This time it was Dreezy We Gon Ride playing on her phone. She answered it as she walked into the bathroom.

"I bet you ten dollars, yo ass just now getting up." Talisha, Joeys best friend, screamed through the phone.

"Fuck you," Joey said rolling her eyes as she sat on the toilet and lit her morning cigarette.

"I bet you ten more dollars that you haven't even shitted yet," she continued on. She was talking so loud Joey room the ear piece out and out Talisha on speaker.

Talisha and Joey had been friends since the third grade. Joeys mom just picked up and came to MS. No reason in particular, she just told joey that she had a hard time dealing with her sisters death And she needed to be somewhere that she didnt have to think about it. Joey didn't mind though, they'd came at such a young age that country life was.all she knew. Plus it didnt hurt that they stayed 15 mins from Memphis, TN in a small town called, Southhaven MS.

"Actually, I'm shitting now," Joey snapped back at her best friend.

"Ewww, nasty," Talisha exclaimed through that ugly hyena laugh of hers,"I'll be by to pick you up at 8:30. I lied, I knew yo butt was gonna be late." Talisha hung the phone up before Joey could get a word out.

That heffa thinks she is psychic, she thought. Talisha was right though it was 7:33 and and Joey was just stepping into the shower. She stayed in only five minutes. Taking herself out of sitting in the tub and enjoying the hit water rain down on her in the steamy shower. Joey was a turtle, actually she was a Taurus. A true Taurus at that. Stubborn, lazy materialistic, territorial, but also the good parts: need for stability, a great disposition, loyalty, endurance and patience. Sometimes her slothness annoyed lol but most times it was necessary. Something will always be left out when you're rushing.

Joey finished her hygiene and applying her eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. She hated makeup. but it was needed since she was still being carded at the age 26.

She went over to her walk-in closet and pulled out a cute pair of jean overall knee knockers, black halter crop top with Epic Weekend written in white letters across the top. She chose a pair of black toms to complete her look. Joey decided to wear her natural hair in a poofy ponytail for the drive. She glanced st herself in her mirror deciding everything was ok with her looks.

Joey had packed for their two week mini vacation that she and Talisha were taking. She looked down at her platinum and black MK watch. 8:23am. Knowing Talisha was probably pulling up, she began to pull her boys towards the door. It seemed like she would never make it to the front door. Shed gotten her her bags down to the three and a small duffel. Shed even packed down her large MK purse with last minutes items. She wasn't choice, she just preferred changing at home. Everything she needed was there.

As she began to hit the corner she heard footsteps coming towards her. she knew it had to be Talisha since she had a key to her home.

Joey stopped where she was. She was glad to hear her coming even though she was coming with a snappy mouth. Talisha was the ying to her yang. A lot of women waiting on a man for balance, but they balanced each other perfectly, which is why they were both successful nurse practioners. They owned their own private pediatric clinic named Lighthouse Clinic which had been opened a year ago the day before. Talisha chose the name because she she thought children can guide a person who his completely lost to sanitytime
Joey began to glance at her phone when she an unfamiliar body in the reflection against the mirrored doors that led to the back yard.. I must be tripping, I know Ian just see a man. She began to back away as she could feel her heart began to race, my body heat up, and break a sweat. The man turns the corner and begins to approach her.

Joey begans to look the man up and down. He was sexy asf, chocolate, low fade, pretty white teeth, to die for. He was dressed in a black polo tee(White horse) and Levi jeans with a pair of all white forces.
Is it possible to be scared to death and horny at the same time, its been a year, she thought to herself. Joey thought as her heart starts racing.
