| CHAPTER SEVENTEEEEEEN YUP |

☆彡

Jungkook exhaled heavily as he stared up at the school building the following Monday, trying his best to relieve any lingering nerves. Jimin nodded from beside the younger boy, patting his shoulder in hopes of comforting him.

"You ready?" Jimin smiled encouragingly, but Jungkook only paled.

"N-no, I'm not ready." He attempted to turn around and walk away, but Jimin's grip on his shoulder tightened before he could take another step. Jungkook frowned at his friend in disbelief. "Hyung, I can't! How can I face him after what happened at the sleepover? He thinks I like you!"

"Why are you acting as if that's such a bad thing?"

"Because it is!" The younger stuck his tongue out teasingly, and the redhead quirked a brow.

"Mean." He pouted for a short moment before shrugging. "Anyway, just talk to him like you normally do. You don't want to seem suspicious, right?"

"I don't, but... What if I can't help it? You know I'm not comfortable with lying..."

Jimin sighed, pulling the other closer to face him, and Jungkook gasped as his bright haired hyung gripped his shoulders firmly. He worried at his lip nervously, trying not to look away from Jimin's sudden intense gaze. "Jungkook, you can do this. Just remember that at the end of the day, this is for the best. If this does hurt him, then that only proves that he does care. Please, trust me okay?"

Jungkook sighed, looking down at his shoes for a moment of hesitance before finally nodding. "O-okay... I'll try my best."

"Good boy! Now go, have a good day. I'll see you at lunch, okay?" The redhead smiled at his dongsaeng warmly. Jungkook nodded, quickly pouncing the other in a hug before running off into the building on his own. Jimin chuckled at the younger's cute actions.

"What was that about?" A new voice questioned from behind him, and Jimin turned around with a gasp to see none other than Min Yoongi hovering close to him.

"O-Oh... Uhm, nothing special, really..."

Yoongi chuckled. "I see. I'm sorry if I scared you just now, I didn't mean to." He scratched at the nail mark that still lingered on his cheek, and Jimin cringed internally as he held back a lecture on why you shouldn't pick at scars. "I just wanted to know if we could work on my art project today? We haven't really gotten much work done yet, you know?"

"Oh... U-uh, yes! Of course we can! I'm so sorry for leaving the last time, hyung..." The younger frowned, feeling guilty for keeping Yoongi waiting, but the blonde only shook his head in protest, contrasting Jimin's frown with a warm smile.

"No need to apologize! Jungkook was going through something right? I understand, so you really don't have to feel bad."

Jimin smiled in appreciation. "Thank you... I'll see you in class, then?"

"Yeah!" Yoongi sent the boy a thumbs up before ruffling his red hair. "And let's meet here after school as well, is that fine?"

"Y-yes! I'll meet you here!"

"Great." The older winked, walking ahead. Jimin clutched his chest tightly with one shaky palm once the other was out of sight, sighing heavily as he tried to cool down his burning cheeks.

"Why does he have to do that..." He pouted to himself as he slowly made his way into the school. "Shut up, stupid heart!"

"Tae!" Jungkook shouted from across the hallway as he noticed the older male at his locker. Taehyung closed the locker door and turned around at the mention of his name, smiling at the brunette happily as he caught sight of him.

"Kookie!" The older waved slightly as Jungkook approached, stopping to stand in front of him. "What's up? I haven't seen you since the sleepover."

Jungkook gulped, looking down at his shoes to avoid eye contact. Showtime...

"Uhh... so, I just wanted to let you know that I thought a lot about what you said the other day... And you're right. I'm going to be more persistent."

Taehyung raised a brow in surprise before slowly smiling. "Ah... You mean about Jimin?"

The younger nodded silently, keeping his gaze focused on the dirty floor beneath them. "The person I like... They should know what they're missing out on. I want to be that person... So, I'll definitely try hard!"

"Well good! I'm glad you've come to your senses!" The older grinned, his excitement on the subject making Jungkook frown. "And don't worry, you're not doing this alone. I'll be here to help you as well. Jimin won't even know what hit him!"

"O-okay... Thanks Tae."

"Of course! You know I'm here for you no matter what, Kook." Taehyung smiled, swinging an arm over the tall brunette's shoulders. He chuckled slightly once he took notice of Jungkook's red ears before reaching over and tugging on one. Jungkook flinched at his hyung's action, pulling away from the odd side hug to glare at him playfully.

"Cute~" The older cooed as Jungkook proceeded to covering his reddening ear with one hand and his pink tinted face with the other. "How does Jimin not love you already?"

"Shut up.." Jungkook muttered exasperatedly before huffing his backpack over his shoulder. "Can we just get to class now, please?"

Taehyung laughed, patting the younger's head as he walked past. "Okay, fine. I'll see you at lunch?"

"Obviously."

"Good."
