Wonk! Wonk! Wonk!
I rose suddenly grasping my hand close to my body. I had hit my alarm a bit harder than I had meant to, sending pain shooting through my entire arm.
After I had finished cleaning the house last night, which had taken me way longer than I had expected, I had laid out everything I would need for my first day of school. I didn't want to look like a complete idiot walking in on my first day.
It took me no time to get ready, I had been doing the same routine for years now: food, hair, clothes, hygiene, makeup. If I were to be honest though, I think I looked better than I normally do.
I got a ride with Sikowitz and walked into school, rather nervously. As I opened the doors, I was taken back by how unique everything was. The lockers, the lockers had my eye immediately.
A man with dark brown, almost black, hair walked up to me and introduced himself as Principal Eikner. He informed me of my class schedule and told me that a boy by the name of Sinjin would be giving me a tour of the school.
I was looking forward to hopefully making my first friend at this school, but immediately forgot that idea when a nerdy boy named Sinjun came walking up and asked if I wanted to hang after school.
"Ummmm... you know I actually have stuff to do. Maybe another time though?" I said as nicely as I could.
It wasn't because he was a nerd, it was how he just walked up and asked to hang. He seemed almost desperate. He seemed cool with my response and I sort of figured he was used to being rejected a lot. I told him that I thought I could find my way now, and bid him goodbye. Off to my first period class: Uncle Sikowitz's.
As I came to his door I paused; inside I could hear voices. I heard Sikowitz telling the class that I was attending this school now and them asking him a bunch of questions. I felt bad for him because it sounded like he was being smothered with questions, so I made my entrance.
