As I walked up to Tori and Andre, I tripped on literally nothing. I swear, sometimes I can be a complete klutz. I just sort of laughed it off and attempted to play cool. They laughed and asked if I was alright.
We walked inside and found where Cat, Jade, Robbie, and Beck had already claimed a table for all of us. I made sure to keep clear of sitting next to Jade or Beck. I honestly didn't feel like staring anything at the moment.
I had never had sushi before, so I had no clue what to try. Andre suggested that I try some sort of thing that had crab in it, so I ordered that.
We all talked and hung out while we waited on our food and ate. I got to ask a few questions about each of them, but for the most part, I was the one mainly being interrogated. I felt like I had committed a major felony and was being questioned about it; it was sort of intimidating.
They wanted to know about everything. Where I used to live if I had any siblings, what my parents did for a living, etc. I honestly was surprised they didn't ask me what my freaking social security number was. They asked some real deep questions and some real surface questions.
It turned out I was born in the same month as Jade, and my favorite color is the same as Beck's. Jade gave me a look that would definitely put me in the grave six times over, if looks could kill, when she found out my favorite color was the same as Beck's. Gosh, I just met this girl, and it seemed like she already hated me.
Overall, the night went really well. We laughed a lot and the food was really good. Cat ended up trying food off of everyone's plates with out asking them. It was sort of funny, until Jade bite her like a wild animal. I've had my fair share of fights, and I'm not scared of getting in them, but she's one of those people that made you think twice about picking a fight with.
By the time we left, it was pouring rain. Of course, just my luck. As we were all walking out the door, Robbie asked me if I had a ride home. I told them the truth and said no, but that I'd be fine; I wasn't going to melt just because of a little rain.
Andre and Tori lived close to each other, so they were riding home together. Robbie, Cat, and Jade lived near one another, so Cat was going to take all of them home. Beck didn't live near any of them, but he did have to drive past my house to get home, so he offered to give me a ride home. I was very grateful.
The ride home was really fun; almost as fun as the entire evening. Beck wasn't overbearing with questions like the rest of the group, but he wasn't icy like Jade. I could tell he was genuinely interested in everything I had to say, but wasn't going to push me to tell anything I didn't want to. I got to ask him a lot of questions too. He seems like a pretty cool guy. I figured we could be friends, but it would never happen as long as him and Jade date.
I don't mean to have a negative attitude towards Jade, but it's just so hard not to. The girl was like a mixture between Antarctica and Hell. Who knows though, maybe she's just like that towards me because I'm new. I honestly hope so; I would love to be her friend.
As we pulled up to Sikowitz's house, I thanked Beck for the ride. He told me I could get a ride with him anytime, and to just let him know. I told him I would. Unlike with Robbie, I actually meant it. Beck wasn't awkward company, and didn't care what you talked about; he didn't have to have the topic be about him.
I closed the car door and began a slow pace up to the porch. I hadn't realized how tired I was, until I had gotten home. I unlocked the door, and began to walk to my room as quietly as possible. I didn't want to wake Sikowitz up.
As I was going down the hall, I noticed something moving in the shadows. At first, I thought it was just my imagination. I soon realized that there really was something lurking in the shadows.
Suddenly, something jumped out right in front of me. It was reflexes for me to swing my fist straight at the object. I saw the object crumple to the ground in pain in front of me as it let out a yelp in pain. I sent a kick towards it, just for safe measures. Then, I ran towards the kitchen and turned on the lights to the hall. As I ran back down the hall, ready to take another swing at whatever had been watching me if need be, I realized that the creature lurking in the dark was only Sikowitz.
I instantly helped him up and led him to the kitchen. He looked awful. He had a blood nose and lip wear I had kicked him, and a swollen eye where I had punched him. I got him some bandaids and compresses for his injuries.
It took him a minute to realize what had just happened, but then he was all over me with questions on why in the world I had just treated him like a human boxing bag. I didn't know what to say, so I turned it back around on him by asking why he had been stalking me in the dark.
After I got Sikowitz situated, we both agreed to talk about it in the morning. I walked to my room and climbed in my bed. I fell asleep without even changing clothes.
