why did you leave

we watched the wallowing waves
he held my hand
yet she was in his heart

dusk descended down on us and
in an instant you
declared disclosure of devotion

you yelled to the
overcast sky, our outbursts of
utter unity unfolded

lying alone, lacking lust
everything is empty
and i am in awe as
visions venture investigating why
everything i expressed wasn't enough
