i feel so empty
for no reason at all
the sadness takes over
and i start to fall.
deeper and deeper
reaching for light
the darkness takes over
like the blackest of nights.
i cry and thrash
wishing for release
but deep inside i know
the pain will never cease.
and i breathe deep
i sigh and sigh
to feel air in my lungs
so i feel alive.
