You were blue
I was red
You were blue like your icy cold fingers
Lingering through my neck
And I was red like the blush
That stained my cheeks
Like blue veins
Running through warm crimson blood
I was delicate like the pink luster in the sky
Just after sunset
You were the dark night
That dived in right after
You were vivacious and flamboyant
Like the color of your eyes
While I preferred to be demure
Like a funeral ambiance
They say opposites attract
Were we opposites?
At the end we realized
We weren't that different
Because we had become purple
