[A/N: Some readers might think that I hate Dellons, but the people who knows me know how much I adore that awful but beautiful man. So yes, I'm presenting a semi-Dellons-centric chapter.]
"It's called the awakened power from the curse of destruction. Aren't you happy to be blessed by it? I've waited a long while just for you to receive it. Isn't it want you wanted?"
'What are you talking about? You know that's not what I wanted. I have a mission to do in my own world. Bring me back!'
"Back? But this is your world. There is no other world to go back to."
'Are you saying Ladenland was destroyed? By what?'
"Oh, you mean that world. I don't think that world will handle two of each.
"Move along now. Three more upgrades, and you'll stand as their leader."
Without further ado, consciousness came back to the grim reaper who just felt a surge of great power inside him. Normally, he would grow smug about it, but the words of their supposed god made him grind his teeth in angry confusion.
"What do they mean by two of each?" Dellons glared at his hands. "How did I awaken demonic powers without realizing it? And they sound like this is not the first instance someone awakened this power."
He started walking out of the chamber where they meet with NK. "I'm not up for riddles. If they won't tell me, I'll figure it out myself."
Before he could completely walk away from the halls dedicated to converse with NK, he managed to overhear Jupy, their current leader, along with chatters from other people. He walked towards the voices and concealed himself in the shadows. He spotted Jupy leading a handful of others towards a room.
"I'm sorry, everyone. I wish I can say what you're going to do inside this room. I can only wish you luck!" Jupy spoke with a feign smile.
"It doesn't matter what. I will crush any challenge thrown at me by that false god NK!" Lu Bu huffed and walked inside. He was joined by the others, with Wu Kong making a lot of noise.
Soon the door closed, and Jupy only sighed through the silence.
"Hey, Leader." Dellons finally walked out of the dark. "So what happens to them now?" He leaned against the post and shrugged. "I doubt NK has a use for them. So what? Is that some kind of kill chamber?"
Jupy glared at him before answering. "You can call it a stockade, but NK managed to make them sleep while waiting."
"Oh, they're not going to be kicked out?"
"Seems like it, but please don't consider everyone else worthy to be put to sleep."
The grim reaper dropped the grin before standing straight as if meaning serious business. "You seem to have awakened the same power as I have. Do you remember doing so?"
The archer stared at him for a while before glaring at him. "Weren't you the one responsible for this? Spreading a curse all over the world- is that what you have always wanted?"
Instead of letting his shock show, the reaper feigned a smirk and chose to laugh out as he walked away from their supposed leader. As soon as he disappeared from her view, he dropped the smirk and walked back to the waiting room. Like what he expected, almost everyone wasted time waiting for nothing. He walked past Rudy and whispered just as he passed. "We need to talk. Follow me."
The guardian jerked a little, but he obliged to what Dellons asked of him. However, Kris and Spike managed to catch up on the situation. It seemed that the grim reaper could not just walk by without drawing much attention for his heightened power and brand-new armor.
Dellons led Rudy to one of the unoccupied rooms in their huge fortress. Seeing that the guardian was not pulling off any stunt against him, Dellons started to speak. "You're the second Seven Knight that came here, wrong? Tell me what you remember from our world?"
"What is this all of a sudden, Dellons?" Rudy glared and gauged the changes he felt through the reaper's aura. "Is that the power NK spoke of?"
"This is demonic powers, thanks for noticing." Dellons smirked a bit but dropped it immediately. "Our dear leader just said I am responsible for the spread of this curse which awakens demonic power in people. Just like what happened to most of your beloved pets." He glared. "Do you remember anything about that?"
Rudy stayed silent and looked away from him. "The last thing I remembered was you taking Karin away. You tried to awaken the god of destruction in Pascal, but you failed." He turned to him again. "After that, it was all a blur until I got here."
"Dammit." The reaper almost spat to the side.
"Did NK say something to you, Dellons? About how this world came to be?"
"I'm figuring that on my own. Apparently," -he chuckled in self-ridicule- "I can't remember taking that girl or unleashing a curse. Though I'm pretty sure the curse is a by-product of the god's awakening." He raised his hand to his face, glaring through the gaps of his fingers. "How come I 'awakened' this power, hm? Don't you think it's awfully suspicious?
"And for your precious Evan to be the first to acquire this power..."
"Are you saying that we're existing in a different dimension than our true selves, Dellons?" Kris managed to alarm the two, but it did not keep his mouth shut. "That we are not what we think we are?" He glared at the reaper. "That going back is futile...?"
Dellons dropped his hand and chuckled in pity and ridicule. "Well, let me quote NK on that." He scowled at the three other Knights in the room. "Back? But this is your world. There's no other world to go back to.
"I don't think 'that' world will handle two of each."
[A/N: I might get the sequence off again, but if you notice something isn't right, let me know. It's better to be a fool for five minutes than a fool forever.]
