- 3:54 am friday -

jeon rubbed his eyes when he woke up to a sudden cry. he furrowed his eyebrows and slid off the bed with his arms resting on each side. once he opened the door, his eyes widened. in front of him was the couch as usual but in front of it was taehyung on the floor with tears streaming down his face, his chest rising up and down hastily.

"taehyung?" said jeon, approaching the male that gasped for air in between hasty breaths. he crouched down and went a hand through his hair whilst looking down at the older. what was wrong with him?

"hey, taehyung." jungkook nudged taehyung with his hand. the male kept whimpering, mumbling what jungkook would call nonsense. various names appeared, all unknown for jungkook not hearing them before. jeon watched as tears rolled down the strawberry tinted cheeks.

suddenly, taehyung unconsciously grabbed jungkook's shirt and pulled the younger towards him. shocked when he found himself in the arms of taehyung that without much sense wrapped himself around the younger male. "h-hey! get off!" jungkook hissed and tried prying off the male that held onto him like his life was depending on it.

taehyung shook as he whimpered, "soohyuk hyung.. why did you go..?" jeon widened his eyes, wasn't that the name of kim's deceased older brother? nonetheless jungkook brushed it off and tried waking up the male. "taehyung i'm not your brother so get off." jeon pressed his palms on taehyungs chest, but it wasn't enough to get him off. once again, he held onto him like his life depended on it. "i'm sorry soohyuk hyung!" kim let out a sob, burying his face into jeons shoulder, wetting the fabric.

"for the last time you crazy person i'm not your bro-" jungkook shut his mouth. he knew that he wouldn't be able to get taehyung off of him if he didn't calm down. so, jungkook started to hum his favourite melody. a thousand years by christina perri.

he didn't sing the lyrics, but the tune seemed to be enough to calm the weeping older that soon lost his grip over jungkook. but as soon as jeon tried standing up with taehyungs arms still wrapped around his neck, the older tightened the grip so he basically pressed himself onto the other.

he kept singing different songs he liked. taehyung softening, getting silent, the younger stood up making taehyung forcefully press himself onto jungkook in stress. jeons breath hitched but managed to stand up, but only if he had one arm supporting taehyungs legs so he carried him by some form of bridal style, taehyungs legs draping over his arms and his head being in the crook of the youngers neck, his arms wrapped around it.

as he kept singing the tune of nothing like us - which made him feel odd, singing it to taehyung - he sat down on the couch and tried to pry off taehyungs arms. he took a deep sigh and gave in. even with how much he disliked it, he had to accept it. or else he'd stay awake all night due to the continuous nightmares.

jungkook closed his eyes after pulling the blanket over both himself and taehyung.

and whenever he'd hear a sob or whimper come from taehyung he'd force himself to play with his hair so he'd calm down. since it seemed to work, he kept doing so until he heard the snores escape kim's mouth. he sighed in victory and pulled the sleeping boy off of him. he winced to the sudden cold. half of him didn't want to part and stay with taehyung to keep the warmth. the other part wanted to run away as far as possible.

before leaving the room he glanced back at taehyung, should he stay? no, that would be awkward. especially if the older woke up before him. he'd force jungkook an explanation for then sleeping together, him in jungkooks arms.

he quickly retreated into his room and vowed to himself not to talk about that incident to anyone. not even jimin.
