"Hey Dan do you wanna come to a party this weekend?"

I didn't know how to respond, I've never been to a house party and to be honest I don't think it would really be my thing: drunk teenagers making out on every surface and playing cliché games of truth or dare in hopes to get laid. Despite all this, I said yes.

"Sure, do you know who's going?" I ask Pj as I take out my books for first period from my pastel pink locker

"Me, Chris, Louise, Dodie, Luke, a load of year 11's and uhm Phil I presume"

My eyes lit up at the mention of Phil's name and suddenly I didn't care about drunk teenagers and cliché games of truth or dare, all I cared about was the fact that Phil Lester would be there.

It was Friday, the party was in approximately 10 hours. Pj said he'd text me the address and details and he insisted on picking me up at 8pm to arrive at Gerard's house. I've only met him twice, Phil introduced me to him a while ago he seemed very nice but I don't know him well enough to call him a friend.

School passed in a blur of homework, lectures, and crowds, before I knew it it was 7pm and I was standing in front of my wardrobe deciding on what to wear for my first "proper party". I could wear my pastel purple skirt again? or my pink one? maybe this black leather one-

my thoughts were interrupted by my phone dinging signalling I had a message. I walked over from my wardrobe to my bed where my phone was sat. I turned it on and saw I had numerous notifications, dms from Pj, a voice mail from Louise, a text from Phil- Wait a text? from? Phil? I threw the black skirt I was holding onto the floor and practically pounced on my phone, frantically swiping the screen to view the text.

phil lester: you coming to the party tonight, pretty boy ;)?

dannyʕʔ: yep!

I barely had time to do anything else other than choose my outfit because by the time I had just got changed, It was 8pm and Pj was repeatedly honking the horn of his car to grab my attention. I grabbed my phone off charge and rushed down the stairs to put on my holographic platform shoes, Pj honking the horn the whole time.

"Hey Peej" I say, sliding into the passenger seat of Pj's rusty car.

"You took your time" he says, eyes scanning my body, "You look nice"

I smile and put my seatbelt on "Thank you" I say quietly as Pj starts the car up.

I was wearing a white cropped tee that said "sensitive" in red lettering and a pleated white skirt with pastel pink high thighs along with my iridescent platforms. Maybe I'll regret the shoes later but right now, I looked pretty damn good. My hair was curly because I didn't straighten it and I was wearing a little bit of rainbow highlighter on my cheekbones I felt pretty.

I looked out the window for a short few minutes until we arrived at a large house on the outskirts of town. The house was quite big, definitely big enough to throw a party for more than 50 people.

"How many people are coming to this party again?" I ask Pj as I undo my seatbelt, turning to look at him.

"God knows" he says simply, before pushing open the car door and walking outside, slamming it shut behind him.

He walks over to my side of the car and opens my door for me, "My lady" he says jokingly as he holds his hand out towards me.

"Thanks Peej" I say, laughing. I take his hand and step out of the car, shutting the door behind me.

"If anyone gives you any trouble or you feel uncomfortable at any point let me know okay?" Pj says seriously as we walk towards the front door.

I nod and let go of Pj's hand as he walks forward and knocks on the front door. once, twice, three times. Moments later a tipsy looking Gerard comes to answer the door, "Pj, hey! glad you could make it and- oh," he says, eyes moving up and down my torso as I uncomfortably fidget with my fingers "hey Dan" he says after a moment, as if he had forgotten my name. I don't blame him though, we've only met twice. I smile politely but keep my eyes down, avoiding his gaze. He invites us in and the strong smell of alcohol suddenly becomes overpowering. People are dancing on tables, taking shots, playing games, laughing, screaming, singing to the ridiculously loud music playing. This, is what a real party is like.
