-Marina

It seems like a normal day and I don't think anything of it. The others are off doing whatever they do during their little free time. I was currently wondering what I was suppose to do. Everyone other than me had something to do and I normally did as well, but today was one of those days when I wasn't watching Ella.

The place I sit in is the kitchen and I wonder what to do. My mind wanders to Eight and like I had called him, he appeared out of nowhere. He took a seat next to me as he spoke.

"Hey there," He says with a smile on his face. I smile back at him.

"Hey," I respond, "What's up?"

"Nothing much," He answers and then his smile get bigger, "Do you want to go do something?" I smile.

"Sure," We get up and leave the kitchen.

I laugh as Eight makes a fool of his self. He smiles as he sits down next to me. Days like this make me wish we were normal teens.

"Marina," He says through his laughter, "Do you want some ice cream?" I smile at his suggestion.

"Sure," He gets up and leaves to order ice cream; I could see the ice cream vender from where we were sitting. I nervously wait for Eight to come back. He wasn't gone for to long. As soon as he returns from the cart he sits and hands me a cone.

"Didn't know what you really wanted, so I got you vanilla," I smile at him.

"It's perfect," I tell him as I start to eat my cone. Eight starts to eat his. We eventually head back to where we were staying. As I was thinking about how great it was to spend time with him, he grabs my hand. I look at him and he smiles at me. I smiles back. When we got back to the huge building we currently live at, Eight stops instead of heading inside, "What is it?" I ask him.

"We're not going to be alone for a while," He states. I frowned. Why was he saying this? Maybe we could do this again soon, "So," His lips meet mine and my face turns bright red. That was when I woke up.

"It's okay," I know I looked pathetic when I hear Nine try to comfort me from the passenger's side of the car. The tears were not stopping.

"I guess," I whisper as I glance out the window on our way to find John and the others. I wipe my eyes and see the first star of the night. I close my eyes and wish on it.

Star, I wish that we win. I also wish that we can get to the others safely..
