Guys...I'm back!! Still kicking ass and taking names. Whoever or whatever those names maybe, I'm taking 'em...hehe = ̄ω ̄=
Anyway my little muffins, this is chapter 6 which is Eric's POV so I hope you like it.
Chapter 5 was a bit more intense but it showed a different side to Avril as compared to the starting of the story.
Blank.
My expression and my thoughts fit the description because there was absolutely nothing inside me. It was like all my emotions were sucked right out of my body as soon as the first sentence left her mouth.
Everyone seemed to have suffered the same fate because they were all staring blankly at the ground, probably trying to figure out what had been spoken to them.
"ACHOO!"
The tense atmosphere was cut when someone sneezed, very loudly. Simultaneously, we turned and looked at the culprit who was currently swiping his nose.
"Sorry..." Adam stated sheepishly making us chuckle.
Harley turned to me with a frown etched on her face. The small smile on my face dropped immediately and I grimaced while looking at the letter in her hand.
"Eric...are you sure t-that this is for y-you?"
"I think so?" I said unsurely with a shrug.
"Why don't you ask you mother?" Zach asked and basically spat out the word mother.
"Whoa dude...that's a lot of hostility towards Eric's mother."
This time it was Marlene, she was one of Jessica's best friends. Although I didn't like the girl, I found myself silently agreeing with her. I sent him a look of confusion but he avoided looking me in the eyes.
"Ric...we got to tell someone about this." Harley said with concern laced in her voice.
"No, we don't. This is just some sick joke that someone tried to play on us." I stated then sent a pointed in Jessica's direction.
"Probably because we didn't invite someone to the party..." I muttered with accusation in my voice.
"It wasn't me, you numbskull!" Jessica shouted, obviously catching onto what I was insinuating.
"I didn't say anything, but it seems like your guilty mind can't take it." I commented with an innocent shrug.
"You conniving little...shitbag!" She shouted in anger and frustrated which almost brought a smile to my face.
Our little banter was cut short by laughter, Harley's laughter to be exact. Stealing a discreet glance, I saw Jessica let out a small smile at the sight of Harley laughing. For some reason, she looked beautiful doing just that.
"I-I will never ever get tired of the cat and mouse game between you two." She stated while wiping tears away from her eyes.
"Okay okay...you've had your fun now."
All the laughter left when we noticed Zach's expression, it looked like he ate a lemon or something really sour. With a sigh, I walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder which snapped himself out of whatever state he was in.
He turned and looked at me while squinting when he eyes suddenly widened. His expression became one filled with fury before he gripped onto my hand which was resting on his shoulder and yanked it off.
"Don't fucking touch me!" He screamed for no reason at all.
"What the hell man?! What's your problem?" I questioned with a frown.
